Lukas Lacko (q) Vs. Dudi Sela

Playing in Melbourne always brings the best out of Sela, with the Israeli holding a 19-11 record in this event. Sela is looking for his fourth career appearance in the Aussie Open's 3rd round – after reaching that stage in 2009, 2015 and 2016. Despite losing the opening set in his 2017 first-round match in Melbourne against Marcel Granollers, Sela featured a remarkable comeback, dismissing the Spaniard by 5-7, 6-3, 6-2, 6-0. Looking now to Dudi's numbers on that match, the highlight clearly goes to his return to serve with the former world No. 29 winning 51.79% of the points played on Marcel's serve.

After winning three matches in the qualifying stage, Lacko extended his good results with an outstanding victory over Albert Ramos-Vinolas in the first round. Even though Lacko is currently outside the top 100, he's always a dangerous player with his strong serve and forehand. However, it's hard for Lukas to perform at a consistent level, and his current ranking is a good example of that.

These two players know each other well with Sela winning six of their previous seven meetings – the last one a few months ago in Newport's grass by scores of 6-3, 6-2.

This should be a very interesting match between two players with terrific numbers in this event. Despite Lukas' remarkable victory in the previous round against the world No. 26, Sela is far from an easy matchup for him. Besides this, Dudi always gets a large group of Israeli fans in this tournament, which is one the main reasons for his success in Melbourne. Due to Sela's edge over this opponent and his phenomenal record, our recommendation is for you to add him to your betting picks.

Karen Khachanov Vs. Jack Sock (23)

After winning his first round match against Adrian Mannarino, Khachanov already secured a place in the top 50 for the first time in his career. The 20-year-old is one of the most promising young players on the ATP Tour with a brilliant future ahead of him. Known for his powerful serve, Khachanov fired a total of 32 aces against Mannarino. The Russian also won 94.74% of his service games, which are incredible numbers against such a good returner as Adrian.

It has been a great start of season for Sock, with the American reaching his career-high ranking Monday at No. 20. After losing only in the Hopman Cup Final along with Coco Vandeweghe, Sock featured a phenomenal week in Auckland where he won his second career title. Famous for his heavy topspin forehand, Jack is never an easy opponent to face. However, Sock's backhand is clearly his worst shot with the 24-year-old always trying to hit the runaround forehand.

This should be a very interesting contest with both players trying to dictate the points with their powerful forehands. Even though Jack is the most experienced of the two, Khachanov can create a lot of problems to his opponent. The Russian is the clear underdog, which makes him even more dangerous. With this in mind, our suggestion is for you to take advantage of Karen's betting odds by splitting your stake among his set handicap and his spread.

Tennis Free Picks: Khachanov +4.5 (-106) & +2.5 Set Handicap (-222)
