Join us and find out our two top betting selections for ATP French Open Day 2. We'll provide a detailed analysis, explaining why you should grab these two valuable tenis picks.

Lukas Rosol vs Stan Wawrinka (4)
The defending champion, Stan Wawrinka, reaches this event after a superb week in Geneva where he won the title. Wawrinka is known for performing at his best on Grand Slams yet, he's not the kind of player who usually crushes his opponents. When looking at his previous appearances on Grand Slam events, we can see that many of Stan achieves many of his victories on the first rounds in three close sets.

Lukas Rosol was also in Geneva last week, losing only in the semifinals against Stan Wawrinka in three sets. Rosol is always a very dangerous opponent due to his powerful groundstrokes and fearful mindset, especially when facing a top player on a big stage where he has nothing to lose. The biggest career on Lukas career was achieved on a Grand Slam event – Wimbledon 2012 – with the Czech surprising Rafael Nadal when priced at +4060. Rosol is looking for another good campaign in Paris after reaching the 3rd round last year, but it's highly unlikely to see him overcoming this first round.

This will be the 5th career meeting between these two players, with Stan leading on h2h by 4 – 0. Two of those encounters took place this year, with Wawrinka winning at the Australian Open by 6 – 2 6 – 3 7 – 6 and last week in Geneva by 6 – 2 4 – 6 6 – 3.

Even though Wawrinka's favoritism for this contest, Rosol should give a good fight like he did on their previous meetings. The Czech can steal one set but even if he does, he should make things quite close as he did earlier this year in Melbourne. With this in mind, our suggestion for this match is for you to split your stake between the following two bets – Rosol's spread and the Over.

Thomaz Bellucci vs Richard Gasquet (9)
It has been a decent year for Richard Gasquet so far, after missing the first Grand Slam of the year the French started his season in Montpellier with a 15 – 6 record so far in 2016. Despite being one of the most talented players on tour, the former junior world no.1 was never able to match the expectations. The main reason for Gasquet's lack of success is his mindset, with the French playing too defensive and passive, especially on pressure points.

After a very tough start of season with several physical issues, Thomaz Bellucci is slowly returning to his best level. However, the Brazilian is one of the most unpredictable players on tour and his last match is a good example of that, with Bellucci losing against Federico Delbonis by 3 – 6 0 – 6 after leading by 3 – 2 with a break up.

These players will face each other for the 4th time on their careers, with Gasquet winning all the three previous encounters. Two of those three contests took place on clay, with Bellucci winning a set in both matches – French Open 2011 and Madrid 2012.

Despite Gasquet's lead on h2h, Thomaz has weapons to bother the French, especially on clay, where Bellucci's heavy top spin forehand is extremely dangerous. One of the most interesting match-ups in tennis is when a left-handed faces a one-handed backhand player on clay and that's the case of this match. Bellucci can create many problems to this opponent with the cross court forehand and even though Bellucci's inconsistency, we believe he can win at least one set on this contest. Having said that, our recommendation is for you to take advantage of Bellucci's tennis odds by adding his set handicap to your tennis picks.
