Join us while we analyze the ATP Barcelona & WTA Stuttgart Semifinals. Find out our two top betting picks for this events and why should you play these two valuable tennis bets.

Petra Kvitova (5) vs. Angelique Kerber (2)
In our WTA Stuttgart Quarterfinals analysis we picked Garbine Muguruza to cover her spread against Petra Kvitova; however, the Spaniard couldn't find an answer against Petra's powerful tennis. This is Kvitova's second career appearance on this event semifinals, with the Czech losing the previous one she played in 2012 against Maria Sharapova. One of the reasons for Kvitova's success on her match against Muguruza was her ability to keep the points short, because the long rallies don't suit her game style.

After a slow start against Annika Beck, the 2015 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix champion – Angelique Kerber – experienced no problems on her quarterfinals clash against Carla Suarez Navarro, dismissing the Spaniard in two easy sets. Kerber ended the match against Suarez Navarro with outstanding numbers, firing 35 winners / 12 unforced errors against Carla's 16 winners / 8 unforced errors. In our tournament analysis we mentioned that it wouldn't be easy for Kerber to win her second consecutive title in Stuttgart, but with Muguruza and Simona Halep out her chances are very good now.

These two players know each other very well, with Kvitova leading on h2h by 4 – 3 yet, it was Kerber who won the previous contest in Singapore last year.

This should be a high quality contest between the two best left-handed players in the world. Petra will be looking to win fast points however, she'll face a tremendous defender and it won't be easy for the Czech to overpower her opponent. Kerber defensive skills should be too much for Kvitova, forcing Petra to play longer rallies where Kerber has the advantage. With that in mind, we suggest adding the German's spread to your tennis picks as the best play for this match.

Rafael Nadal (1) vs. Philipp Kohlschreiber (10)
The first seed and main favorite for the title, Rafael Nadal, reaches this stage of the competitions without dropping a single set. The Spaniard is returning to his best level with eight consecutive victories on clay after claiming the Monte Carlo Masters title last week. At the quarterfinals, Nadal defeated a player who has been a tough match-up for him – Fabio Fognini – with the Italian winning three of the five matches between them in 2015. But this time Nadal was too strong and solid for Fognini, defeating the Italian by 6 – 2 7 – 6.

Barcelona has always been a good place for Philipp Kohlschreiber, with the German winning 10 of the last 13 matches he played on this event. After being close from elimination on the previous round against Feliciano Lopez, where Kohlschreiber recovered from a set and a break down, the German completely crushed Andrey Kuznetsov at the quarterfinals by 6 – 3 6 – 1 – ending the match with 20 winners / 14 unforced errors.

This will be the 13th career meeting between these two players, with Nadal leading on h2h by 11 – 1.

There isn't better match-up for Nadal than facing a one-handed backhand player on clay, with his heavy spin crossed forehand bouncing very high and creating many problems to his opponents. From the previous 12 matches, four of them took place on clay with Nadal allowing only an average of 5.25 games per match. Once again Nadal shouldn't experience much problems to defeat this opponent and we expect him to reach the final with another good victory. Having said that, our advice on this match is to take advantage of Nadal's tennis odds by placing a bet on his spread.
