This is Jake Arrieta's league, but with that said, the games will go on. In tonight's slate of MLB games, I've found some very favorable picks for the serious bettor. Here's the the MLB picks!

Tampa Bay Rays vs. New York Yankees
No Respect
At 7-8 coming into this game, the Rays are the team with the better record and more importantly, Matt Moore (1-0, 2.95 ERA) is the more capable pitcher as he faces C.C. Sabathia. Remember now, Sabathia was coming out of the bullpen last season while dealing with addiction problems. He was thought to be done.

So far this season, C.C. is 1-1 with a 5.06 ERA, but he's only a couple of poor outings away from getting the boot. My opinion on Sabathia is that he logged a ton of innings during a cetain part of his career, pitching more than he should've, and he's just done. Sabathia has looked slighlty better this season, but not enough to compete with a pitcher such as Moore and the Yankees offense is simply awful.

Jacoby Ellsbury and Alex Rodriguex
New York has scored just 7 runs total in their last 3 games, which were all losses and players such as Jacoby Elsbury (0 HR, 5 RBI, .255 BA) and Alex Rodriguez (2 HR, 5 RBI, .156 BA) need to take accountability for their failures.

Let's face it; Ellsbury's contract has been one of the worst in Yankees history and ARod is also on a long term deal that has made this team a failure. That said, I'll give the almost 41 year old Rodriguez credit for gutting it out. Last seasn, he was a beast, but this season, he looks done. I know Arod and I don't think that he's done, but we're not going to see the 30 HR season that we saw last season.

As for Ellsbury, he's simply not as good a baseball player as the Yankees thought and he's paying the price. The Bombers also have Brett Gardner, who is off to another .300 start. The problem with Gardy is that he fades fast come fall and his .300 coud turn into .250 or .260; we shall see,

This game favors the Rays and the MLB odds are very attractive, so we'll take them as one of our MLB Picks for this game

New York Mets vs. Atlanta Braves
Must WIn Situation For Matt Harvey
All of a sudden, the New York Mets amazing pitching staff isn't looking so good. Jacob deGrom can be excused to the difficult birth of his child and Steven Matz is still new as a starter on this team, but Matt Harvey (0-3, 5.71) has been a flatout disaster. Tonight, Harvey is in the absolute perfect spot as he faces the inferior Atlanta Braves and pitcher Bud Norris.

Tommy John or Matt Harvey?
It's quite apparent that Harvey hasn't been the same pitcher since the Tommy John Surgery. Maybe, he's afraid that he'll have to have another surgery because he's not throwing the heat that he was before.

This was pitcher that led the NL in the All-Star Game a while back and now can't even win a baseball game. Harvey needs this game desperately. If he goes 0-4 and if I were manager, Terry Collins, I would sit the former North Carolina Tarheel. This should be money in the bank for Mets bettors.

Daniel Who?
Daniel Murphy took the money and nobody could blame him after his post-season run as he'll never play to that level again. Now, the Mets have Neil Walker and Walker has exceeded expectations.

He already has 6 HR, 11 RBI, and a .293 BA. The only issue with Walker is that he has 0 walks this season. Walks are a major part of the game and tarnish his numbers. He must be more patient at the plate because that .293 OBP% doesn't seem appealing.
