MLB Picks To Grab Overnight & Boost Your Bankroll For The Weekend

Sports handicapper Ian Cameron provides a look at MLB Overnight Betting Lines for the games taking place on Friday, June 10.

Detroit Tigers vs. New York Yankees
Mike Pelfrey has been a ‘bet against' pitcher for me for a while now and he is likely in tough here against a NY Yankees lineup that has finally awoken from a long slumber as the Yanks have scored 5+ runs in five of their last six games and Pelfrey enters this game with a very shaky track record against the Yankees and was roughed up for 6 runs on 7 hits in 3.2 innings in his previous outing against them earlier this season.

As much as I've liked C.C. Sabathia's effort this season and he has pitched very consistently, his ERA of 2.58 is likely due for a bit of a correction as his FIP and xFIP sit at 3.39 and 4.58 respectively and he faces a very tough Tigers lineup that has been mashing lefties in recent games. Detroit has scored 9, 10, 7, 5 and 11 runs in their last five games against lefty starters and many of them were good ones as they faced Hector Santiago, Carlos Rodon, Chris Sale, Jose Quintana and J.A. Happ during that span. That could spell trouble for C.C. in this game. The Over is definitely worth a look here with the total sitting at 9 between two offenses in very solid form currently.

Cleveland Indians vs. Los Angeles Angels
We cashed an easy winner with the Over in Hector Santiago's last start against the Detroit Tigers and I am going to try going against him here from a side and total perspective as he takes the mound for the LA Angels against Corey Kluber and the Cleveland Indians. Santiago has been struggling of late allowing 15 runs in his last 13 innings pitched over his last three starts and he's had a tough time of it here at Angel Stadium all season with a 6.31 ERA in 5 home starts.

The LA Angels are just 1-3 in his last 4 starts against Cleveland since 2013. On the flip side, Corey Kluber has pitched better in recent games with a 3.10 ERA over his last three starts and has fared better on the road throughout much of the season. His track record against the LA Angels is a bit suspect with 12 runs allowed on 23 hits in 16.1 innings over three starts but I still think he can outduel Santiago. I'll recommend a wager on the side and total in this game with Cleveland as a short road favorite and Over the total.
