L.A. Angels vs Cleveland Indians
Not only are these teams headed opposite directions, but so are the pitchers in a matchup of Cleveland's surging ace, Kluber, and the LA Angels replacement starter, Chacin.

After beating another towel-tosser, Oakland, in the first 2 games of August, they have lost 6 straight. Their starting rotation has been a mess the entire season and their hitting, despite having big names, Trout and Pujols, in the heart of the order, continues to fail expectations. For example, the Angels have tallied only 1 run in each of their previous 3 games. Meanwhile, in their 6-game losing streak, the Angels have allowed 33 runs or 5.5 RPG. With their 49-64 record, having them firmly ensconced in the bottom of the AL West (only the Rays and Twins have a better mark in the AL), there is little reason to expect much upside from the towel-tossing Angels.

The Cleveland Indians made their mark this MLB season with a 14-0 run in early July. Though the Tribe has gone just 14-18 since that streak, they still have a record of 63-48 (the 2nd best in the AL behind Texas). It is also good enough for a 3 ½ game lead over Detroit. A major reason for the success is a 31-20 record on their home field. They have played 9 games less at home than on the road, but that will soon even out, as this is the 1st of 11 consecutive games at home.

Clinching the winning side for Cleveland is a starting pitching matchup of Cleveland's ace, Kluber, against replacement starter, Chacin, who was dealt to the Angels by lowly Atlanta in the hopes of shoring up an injured rotation. Chacin has pitched well in relief the last 8 times he has been called upon, posting a 2.55 ERA. Tonight, however, he is thrust back into the role of starter, replacing Tim Lincecum, who will go down in history as the year's biggest failed experiment. In the role of starter, Chacin is 3-7 with a 5.87 ERA. This is far dichotomous to the slants of Kluber who, for the year, has a 3.16 ERA. He has been even better in his most recent 5 starts, in which he has posted a 3-0 record with a 1.46 ERA and .202 BAA. He faced the Angels once this season on June 10th That was a complete game (6-2) Cleveland victory in which Kluber allowed just 3 hits.

Conclusion
We line up on the run line in this one knowing that the Angels have lost 11 of 11 (100%) of their recent defeats by 2 or more runs. For Cleveland, 49 of 63 wins (78%) have come by 2 or more runs.
