Let’s take a look at the updated 2017 MLB Futures Book odds fresh from the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook as well as the fresh AL and NL pennant prices and provide a couple of winter-chosen, value-oriented picks with Spring Training opening in a month.

It's Still The Cubs' World ... We're Just Living In It

As of now, the Windy City has the oddsmakers' World Series MLB favorites and co-longest shots with Kris Bryant (20/1 to be MLB HR leader) and the defending World Series champion North Side Cubs (+350 to win World Series) on top and José Abreu and the South Side White Sox one of four teams the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook currently has listed at 200/1 to win the World Series.

Spring Training workouts begin on Valentine's Day with the World Baseball Classic set to be held from March 6-22 -- the USA and Dominican Republic are now co-odds favorites at 5/2 at the SuperBook -- with Opening Night scheduled for Sunday, April 2 (Cubs at Cardinals, ESPN, 8:30 pm EST) and Opening Day on April 3. The 88th MLB All-Star Game -- which will have no bearing on home-field advantage in the World Series this year -- will be held at Marlins Park in Miami on July 11 (FOX) with the last games of the Regular Season scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 1.

Among the significant odds movers here, the Cleveland Indians, a team we recommended backing at 12/1 last assignment when this market first opened, have dropped from an opening 12/1 to 9/1 after the Tribe signed DH Edwin Encarnación (40/1 to be MLB HR leader), while odds on the aforementioned White Sox have plummeted from an opening 60/1 to 200/1 and the bottom of the list along with three NL teams, the Braves, Brewers and Reds.

The Red Sox (6/1 from 10/1), Dodgers (7/1 from 10/1) and Giants (14/1 from 16/1) have all seen money come in on them, while the odds on the Blue Jays (20/1 from 14/1), who lost Encarnación, Cardinals (30/1 from 20/1), Tigers (30/1 from 20/1) and Orioles (40/1 from 20/1) have all risen.

Here are the latest World Series odds with Divisional and Season Team Win Totals and other markets opening later this winter.
