Washington Huskies vs California Golden Bears

This total is near my auto bet Under level, but there are some mitigating circumstances which lead me to believe that the Washington Huskies will really pour it on versus the California Golden Bears on Saturday. Of course, the first and most obvious of those is being ranked 5th in the latest FBS Playoff poll, behind one-loss Texas A&M. The Huskies will be looking for style points here, and with Cal giving up 41.7 points per game Washington should have no problem exceeding their 46.1 points per game on offense average.

Cal's offense hasn't looked too shabby either, with Texas Tech transfer Davis Webb leading the way at QB. They've averaged 41.2 points per game while also putting up 536 yards of total offense. Cal hasn't seen a defense as good as Washington yet this year, but if they put up 28 points on Utah they should have a shot to repeat that type of offensive output here. Cal has been in games that have cashed the Over at 80, 85.5, and 90.5 points, respectively. At 76.5 points at 5Dimes, taking the Over here looks to be a bargain. Look for an entertaining quarterback battle and take the Over of 76.5 at 5Dimes as you College Football Pick.

Arizona Wildcats vs Washington State Cougars

In the last few years, games between the Cougars and Wildcats have been barn burners with scores in the 80's and 90's. With perfect weather on the Palouse at game time this Saturday, I'm expecting more of the same. The Arizona Wildcats struggle on defense on the road, giving up 33 points per game. On the flipside, the Cougars have been on fire at home where they average a high 44 points per game. This is the Cougars first game since entering the FBS rankings at 25th after winning 6 games in a row.

The Cougars will be wearing their “liquid steel” uniforms for Dad's Weekend, so the place should be hopping. Don't forget that the Cougars have used their home field advantage to run the ball as well, a counter to Mike Leach's “Air Raid” offense, and have put up 175 yards per game on the ground at home. Again, this is in direct relation to an Arizona weakness, as they give up 183 yards per ground on the road per game.

They might run a bit, but with Luke Falk completing passes at a nation leading 72.6 completion percentage the passing game has been like long handoffs too. This looks to be a blowout in the making, and I'll take the Over of 65 at BookMaker in a 42-28 type game for the home team.
