02.24.2012 (12:03 PM CST)SBR conducted a brief interview with the Oddsmaker (SBR rating F) player who had $45,000 confiscated.
On February 22nd, SBR reported that
Oddsmaker voided $45,000 in player winnings. The player's violation was, according to Oddsmaker, threatening to contact an attorney after numerous unanswered emails regarding his payout status. He deposited $1,000 on December 30th and quickly built a balance he was uncomfortable having at Oddsmaker. After the player's balance increased to $12,000, he decided to wager the opposite sides of his bets with Oddsmaker at Las Vegas sportsbooks. He went on a long winning streak in his Oddsmaker account, with his balance ultimately reaching $45,000.
Oddsmaker disabled the player's account on February 20th. Head of fraud Tony Massina explained that his mentioning legal action resulted in the forfeiture of his balance. SBR called to speak with Tony Massina and was told he had nothing to say, then hung up on. Tony provided an email statement a day prior mentioning the player's legal remark, as well as claiming that the player admitted to being a professional gambler and owning a (non-gaming related) website.
Oddsmaker
confiscated $200,000+ from players in 2011 on the grounds that the players were not recreational gamblers. Oddsmaker's terms and condition allow for theft if a player is determined to be a professional. It is unknown how exactly Oddsmaker concludes players are professionals, though in all cases players held a balance of at least $3,000.
Where is Oddsmaker Sportsbook licensed?Oddsmaker's terms and condition page state that the sportsbook is licensed in Curacao.
Oddsmaker website: OddsMaker.ag games are fully licensed by the Government of Curacao Netherlands Antilles, are subject to the laws and regulations of the Government of Curacao Netherlands Antilles. The Curacao standard of regulation is largely consistent with that of the United Kingdom, though OddsMaker.ag does more than meet the stringent conditions laid down by the Government of Curacao. Furthermore, the company adheres to the code of behavior defined by the Government of Curacao which prescribes rigorous standards with respect to security as well as a responsible attitude towards issues such as protection of minors or gaming addiction.
SBR researched this and found that Oddsmaker's license expired on September 30th, 2011. Oddsmaker was a sub-licensee of Ocean Communications Ltd; a company which holds one of Curacao's five master gaming licenses. SBR spoke with the CEO of Ocean Communications who confirmed that Oddsmaker's license was terminated. The CEO went on to state that one week after Oddsmaker was no longer a sub-licensee, the company had to remind Oddsmaker to remove its licensing seal from their homepage. While Oddsmaker removed the seal, it failed to update its terms and conditions page.
Oddsmaker is incorporated as a company in the Philippines. Oddsmaker operates a customer support center in the Philippines as well. The company has a web server hosted in Canada, and an office out of Quebec which provides Oddsmaker with marketing services. The location of the sportsbook server which takes bets and powers the sportsbook's
FutureBet gaming engine is unknown.
SBR is continuing its investigation into Oddsmaker and is advising the player privately.

Oddsmaker Sportsbook (SBR rating F) has confiscated $45,000 from a winning bettor. The player wagered with Oddsmaker on and off for three years, losing in the neighborhood of $5,000 prior to the start of 2012. The player, who will be referred to as "Paul" throughout this article, was tempted to reload his betting account after being enticed by a 50% cash bonus.
Oddsmaker's high bonuses sucked Paul in
Paul deposited $1,000 via credit card on December 29th. He received a 50% cash bonus with a 10X rollover, and wagered $1,500 (deposit+bonus) on a football game. Paul lost his bet but managed to profit $300 from betting the opposite side at another sportsbook.
Paul had the itch to send Oddsmaker another deposit, noting that the sportsbook is frequently late to move lines, even offering middling opportunities. Middling is the act of placing wagers on opposite teams with differing pointspreads. Paul gave Oddsmaker a call to ask if he could again redeem the 50% cash bonus he had lost a day before. Oddsmaker said he wasn't eligible for the bonus, but offered a different promotion before he hung up - a 100% cash bonus, this time with a 20X rollover. Paul eagerly accepted the offer. Paul told SBR that meeting 10X, 20X or greater in rollover is no problem for him with his betting style. Paul re-deposited $1,000 on December 30th.
Paul turns his 100% reload bonus into thousands of dollars
After re-depositing $1,000, Paul targeted a game to unload his balance and bonus on. He played every day, eventually increasing his balance to more than $10,000. Paul attempted to exploit small edges by monitoring programs like SBR Odds, Donbest or similar and comparing the numbers offered by other sportsbooks to Oddsmaker - including sportsbooks based in Las Vegas, where Paul resides.
Paul discovers Oddsmaker's MO, decides to middle way out
After his balance hit the $12,000 mark, Paul caught wind of Oddsmaker's reputation while perusing a gaming reviews site. After realizing Oddsmaker was considered a shady sportsbook and one to be avoided, Paul decided the prudent move was to middle his way out of the sportsbook. Paul recounts placing six different $2,000 wagers one weekend. He placed picks he thought would lose, and bet the opposite side at Las Vegas sportsbooks. It wasn't Paul's weekend, as each of the six wagers won in his Oddsmaker account. Paul's balance ballooned up to more than $20,000. Paul decided to pick his spots more carefully, and continued his strategy of placing wagers he expected to lose. He began to ignore the previous +EV (expected value) opportunities that once attracted him. After his balance reached $28,000, he decided it was time to test the waters so he requested an $8,000 payment on January 10th, 2012. Oddsmaker told him that his payment was too large to be sent at once, so he would receive two withdrawals in consecutive weeks.
Oddsmaker stalls Paul's $8,000 payout request
When two weeks passed with no tracking number from Oddsmaker, Paul called to ask for an update. He was told that payout inquiries needed to be made via email. After sending email as requested, Oddsmaker replied with the exact same message six times in as many days:
Oddsmaker Sportsbook: This email concerns your recent ticket: RE: Withdrawal Confirmation (***-***-*****)
As part of our commitment to improving your customer support experience, we would like to know how you think we are doing. You are invited to complete a short satisfaction survey consisting of just a few multiple-choice questions.
It should take you no more than a minute to complete (we promise!). To take the survey, please click on the following link: {omitted}. Your feedback is very important to us and we really appreciate your time.
On February 6th, Paul was delighted when a $4,000 check arrived at his doorstep. He proceeded to place what he claims was more than one hundred additional wagers, still attempting to lose his funds in Oddsmaker.
Paul's balance hits $45,000, still no second $4,000 payment
On February 17th, his balance was at its highest - a whopping $45,000. Paul stopped wagering with Oddsmaker and picked up the emails, sometimes sending ten a day. Finally, feeling desperate, Paul fired off a more aggressively worded message, indicating that he was considering contacting an attorney.
Paul to Oddsmaker: I asked for this payout almost 2 months ago and still no tracking number. At this point I am deciding whether or not to contact an attorney. For the first time in my life I stopped gambling because I am afraid of winning. Last week on Friday and Saturday I bet over $35k and lost about 18k with your company. This should not be hard for someone to verify. This week I will bet nothing and lose nothing. Your company will lose thousands of dollars with the juice alone without my action. Since this does not seem to concern anyone it leaves me to believe that I'm getting stiffed and need to hire a lawyer. Does this answer your question on how I think you guys are doing?
Oddsmaker closes account and confiscates all winnings
On February 20th, he received a telephone call from Oddsmaker's head of fraud Tony Massina. Tony told Paul that he was in big trouble. Paul's statement of considering legal action landed him in hot water with Oddsmaker brass, who observed that comment from Paul but not the dozens of previous messages begging for an update on his payment. Paul was told that his account was disabled and that he was done at Oddsmaker. Paul broke down, explaining that he's not a professional gambler, that this is life-changing money for a hard working Las Vegas employee whose had a gambling habit for the last 25 years. At one point during this conversation, Tony allegedly barked at Paul to shut his mouth and listen or he would be hung up on and never spoken to again. Tony said that the decision came from above and nothing could be done;
Paul's message constituted a threat, and the decision was final. Paul was told he would receive his $2,000 in deposits back and nothing more.
Paul contacts SBR
On February 21st, Paul contacted Sportsbook Review. An SBR dispute analyst spoke with Paul for more than an hour, gathering the facts and listening to him. Paul started to repeat himself, saying he hasn't slept or ate normally since being delivered the crushing blow by Oddsmaker. SBR followed up with Tony Massina, receiving the following statement:
Oddsmaker Tony Massina: I was going to ignore this but I will respond one time and one time only because I am a straight shooter. Customer lied. Customer responded to an email survey from us saying he was considering contacting lawyers to get his withdrawals faster. Nobody in the industry needs that. On top of the customer admitting to owning his own website and to being a professional bettor (he admitted to both), camels back was broken when he threatened to contact lawyers. Decision was not mine but I am aware of the case. Customer had $2000 refunded to him and got a check for $4000 as well. Have a good day.
Paul has denied Tony's (irrelevant) assertion of being a professional gambler. Paul claims to have told Tony just the opposite when begging to be paid his balance. Paul told SBR he has lost thousands of his savings by betting the opposite side of his Oddsmaker picks at various sportsbooks. He told SBR that he couldn't lose at Oddsmaker, no matter what he bet.
Paul's experience is just one of many terrifying ordeals players have had with Oddsmaker. Oddsmaker is an F-rated company in the scam sportsbook blacklist, having confiscated $248,432 to date in player winnings. Players are advised to avoid the sportsbook at all costs. Its signup bonuses are used as a device to solicit deposits from players; all players with a clue are shown the door, without their balances. The scam sportsbook has cited "professional play" in many of the confiscations, and has now branched out to blaming a player's desperate tone in one of his dozens of emails for justifying robbing him. | Read Paul's plea to Oddsmaker

TitanBet (SBR rating C) has voided another player's wager. The player wagered €118 at the odds of 4.77 at approximately 4AM EST on the football match between Fulham and Liverpool. When SBR checked the odds market of the match, the market had shifted to an average of 3.77. TitanBet has recently developed a reputation for voiding bets where players have the best of it, the oddsmakers at TitanBet are typically slow to adjust markets and will leave an opening number unchanged for hours causing bettors to think its fair game. The act of cancelling wagers whilst referencing bad line policies despite the wager having been in market at one time is described as "falling asleep at the wheel". TitanBet has thus far refused to discuss the growing number of complaints by citing privacy policy.
SBR published a video report on the unethical practice on November 30th.

Scam sportsbook Oddsmaker has not relented in its campaign of theft. The F rated sportsbook once made a name for itself by entrapping players with convoluted bonus rules, using a variety of reasons to justify confiscating rolled over winnings. Oddsmaker would tell players that making a lone parlay wager out of hundreds of wagers would cause that player to lose his balance.
In September of 2010, Oddsmaker mailed a $100 promo to players prior to the upcoming football season. A player who accepted the offer and rolled over the $100 thirty times had his balance zeroed after making a payout request. The player was guilty of making one lone exotics wager after he was well on his way to completing the playing requirement.
Oddsmaker adds rule to confiscate winnings from "pro" players
Oddsmaker—being a pioneer of scam sportsbook tactics—was the first to justify seizing winnings from players that were too sharp for their liking. The industry standard for recreational player seeking sportsbooks would be to close that player's account and honor his winnings. Oddsmaker has decided though that it makes better business sense to openly steal from players, and to date has confiscated $199,132 from players whose only mistake was beating the house.
Sportsbook Review mediator 'Justin7' met personally with Oddsmaker sportsbook managers in Las Vegas during Super Bowl weekend to discuss the growing number of player complaints. Oddsmaker at the time claimed that it was interested in improving its public image and vowed to work with SBR to fairly resolve sportsbook disputes. Following that meeting, Oddsmaker did not honor its promise, instead Oddsmaker continued its assault on their customers.
Oddsmaker banks on the image created by their very elaborate marketing campaigns, fliars, pamphlets, coasters, Oddsmaker spends seven figures annually on financing such endeavors according to former business associates. On 12/27, SBR reported that Oddsmaker confiscated $2,025 from a player. Oddsmaker (SBR rating D-) justified the seizure by claiming the player was a bonus-abuser, betting both sides of the same events on their no-juice promotions to meet rollover without legitimately placing his funds at risk. SBR has suggested that Oddsmaker simply not count those wagers toward rollover and to reinstate the player's balance. This report will be updated as the discussions conclude.

An Oddsmaker (SBR rating D-) player has $2,025 in winnings confiscated. In November, the player deposited $1,000 and received a $1,000 freeplay with a $40,000 wagering requirement. After clearing $15,000 in rollover and netting $2,025 in winnings, Oddsmaker voided the player's wagers and refunded his $1,000 deposit. Oddsmaker stated that the player was debited $3,025 (inclusive of $1,000 in bonus funds) due to betting on both sides of a no-juice promotion to accumulate rollover. An Oddsmaker (SBR rating D-) player has filed a payout complaint. On 4/29, the player requested $534 to be paid by bank wire. After submitting wiring instructions, the player received an e-mail saying that he could expect the funds to arrive by 5/14. On 5/20 the player asked Oddsmaker for an update. Oddsmaker repeated the player's bank account number, but the player states the last digit was incorrect. He claims to have been sure that the correct banking information was initially given to Oddsmaker. He reconfirmed his correct details and was told to wait for an e-mail update that would never come.
After following up with Oddsmaker over the next few months, the player states he was told by Oddsmaker that the $534 payment had yet to be returned by the processor and to wait for their update. Finally, on the player's most recent inquiry in late September, he was again asked for his bank account information.
On 10/12, Oddsmaker e-mailed the player saying that his $534 was sent through "AlertPay". The player did not operate an AlertPay account. However, upon receiving that e-mail he immediately opened and validated an AlertPay account. AlertPay claimed to not have knowledge of any payment that was attempted to be sent to his name. Oddsmaker (SBR rating D-) promotional fine-print burns another player. Oddsmaker mailed out a free $100 promo prior to the 2010 football season. A player accepted the offer and created an account with Oddsmaker. After four weeks the player rolled over his $100 30X and amassed a balance of $2900. When the player made a withdrawal request, Oddsmaker zeroed his balance due to one teaser being wagered with the promotional cash. The player was unaware of the rule and points out that he already turned a profit of $527 prior to entering the exotic wager. This is not the first instance of Oddsmaker confiscating a winning promo account balance. In a December 2009 sportsbook dispute, SBR reported that Oddsmaker zeroed out a $1500 balance from a player that says he followed all listed wagering rules attached to his promo. Withdrawal requested — $3,400 on April 30th.
Player issue — On January 9th a player deposited $250 to Oddsmaker (SBR rating D-). After a few months of play, his balance increased to more than $7000. On April 30th he requested a $3,400 withdrawal via priority check. The expected time-frame for delivery was 10 business days. The trouble began when the quoted time passed and no check had been received. The player followed up with Oddsmaker to inquire and to his surprise was informed by the cashier department that his "bank wire" was sent. Taken aback by the claim, the player clarified that he requested a priority check and never at any point provided wiring instructions. Oddsmaker was adamant that the wire had been sent and suggested he check his bank account for the funds. The book finally acknowledged the error a week later. Oddsmaker then told the bettor it was in the process of canceling the bank wire and resending the funds via priority check. Two more months passed and no updates were given to the player on the status of this check.
No progress was made. The player submitted a sportsbook complaint to SBR.
SBR is currently in discussion with Oddsmaker management, who said only the banking department could provide updates. Oddsmaker (SBR rating D-) has addressed the July 12th World Cup Prop dispute which was filed over the grading of a margin of victory prop. A player wagered $200 on the "Draw" outcome and had his bet graded as a loser. Oddsmaker's position is that the bet had to be a 'scoring draw', and that 0-0 was not considered a winner. Oddsmaker claims that "scoring tie" was listed on the wager type, but has not yet provided evidence to substantiate. The player adamantly denies seeing any such notation.

An Oddsmaker (SBR rating D-) player has filed a dispute over Oddsmaker's grading of the 2010 World Cup finals margin of victory prop. The player bet $200 on the 'Draw' ; his wager was graded a loss as Oddsmaker claimed only 'scoring draws' counted. SBR is following up with Oddsmaker.

SportsInteraction (SBR rating B-) canceled a player's wager on the Wimbledon doubles match Mahut/Clement vs Fleming/Skupski. The winning wager, which he staked €110 on, was voided after the completion of the match. SportsInteraction's position is that there was a clear odds error. At the time of the player's wager, 5Dimes (SBR rating A+) had odds of 1.64 (or -156) on the match. The player's ticket was for 1.83 (or -120).
However, the odds on the match opened at approximately -120, which is what the player wagered. The day before the doubles match, Nicolas Mahut played a marathon match with John Isner which ended up being decided 70-68 in the 5th set. Oddsmakers felt Nicolas' physical endurance after the record-breaking match would be a questionmark that should effect the price of the doubles match, so the market was updated. SportsInteraction failed to react to this odds change.
This is commonly referred to as a 'stale line'. A stale line is a result of a linesmaker failing to update the odds of a particular event, as opposed to a 'bad line' which is a clear and obvious clerical error, such as a reversed pointspread or moneyline. In this case, SportsInteraction cited a bad line rule and voided the winning wager after the match ended. SportsInteraction has canceled bets after the events began before, as was done in this December 06 sportsbook dispute. As the odds the player accepted were in-line with the market at one point, SBR has suggested that SportsInteraction pay all wagers on the stale line. SBR will update this report pending SportsInteraction's decision.

Oddsmaker (SBR rating D-) has commented on the six month old slow-pay reported by SBR on May 7th. Oddsmaker reinforced their initial position from SBR's December 29th report that the player supplied erroneous banking details; stating that the correction was applied on 12/31/09 but that the bank wire originally sent was not returned to Oddsmaker's bank account. SBR is inquiring further.
Oddsmaker:
We dont ask for bank information from our customer's at the time they open an account with us. Withdrawals are personally processed by our customers by going to their cashier account and entering the withdrawal amount, routing number and account number to where the withdrawal money will be sent. What happened is (the player) requested a withdrawal for $1000 on 11/01/09 however he entered the incorrect ACH info. The withdrawal has been processed by our cashier department and has been sent to the account and routing number that he entered. It was only on 12/30/09 that (the player) was able to provide his correct ACH information which is matching with the previous payments that he requested. As of now we are still trying to get the money back for us to work on with (the player's) request however we still have not received any response for the money back request that we sent.
On February 19th a Bet911 (SBR rating C-) player wagered on a Holland soccer match between Eredivisie Roda JC and Hercales. The player bet on Roda JC at +115. Seven minutes prior to the game beginning, Bet911 canceled the play. SBR has confirmed that other sportsbooks, including BetCris (SBR rating A+) opened at +115 before closing at -110. While the wager was voided before the game and cannot be settled, SBR will still speak to Bet911 on the case as they should not penalize players for their oddsmaker being slow to update their offerings - when the line was posted at Bet911 it was inline with the rest of the market.

An OddsMaker (SBR rating D-) player has written in with a two year old slowpay complaint. On 1/28/08 Oddsmaker allegedly sent a $1,510.04 check to the player. More than two years later, the player has not received any explanation on if the check was in fact lost, nor has he been able to initiate a cancelation on the check. Oddsmaker (SBR rating D-) has deactivated a player's account that made a withdrawal request of $1500. The player accepted a $50 mailer promo offer, and began to bet with the promotional cash and rolled his balance to more than $1500. The player stated that he researched the free bet conditions and to the best of his knowledge was not in violation of Oddsmakers stringent fine-print. Oddsmaker has not shed insight into why the account was suspended, and has only stated that the proper department was handling the case. Oddsmaker has a long and continued history of sending out free bet promotions with non-standard and often times hidden wagering terms. Oddsmaker's track record in situations such as these lend little hope to players being paid their balances should even a single exotic wager or parlay have been placed.

Oddsmaker (SBR rating D-) software allows players to place parlays with their promotional funds but if the user places even one small parlay before a winning run, the sportsbook will cite the no-parlay fine print when the player requests a payout. Winnings will then be confiscated. The fine print regarding parlays is on the book's rules page but not supplied with the marketed promotional material. Oddsmaker previously told SBR it would honor winnings earned prior to the point the first parlay was wagered, would add the rule to the correct website pages, and clarify the rule in its terms of service. The book has not made these changes and players continue to waste winning picks on an account that cannot yield a profit. Players who have added to their balance with deposited funds have also had winnings removed despite having their own funds at risk and enough deposited cash to cover winning wagers.
Player #1:
I was given $100 "bonus" from a flier I received in the mail that did not mention any stipulations, however I later found out, that the bonus amount must be wagered 10x, which is wagering a total of $1000 or more, and that you must subtract $1500, and the remaining balance could be cashed out, or continue to wager with it. I did all of this and now have a total of $3,283.81, in my account so after subtracting out their $1500, I should have $1,783.81 to my name. I was refused payout because I supposedly made an illegal parlay which apparently was not part of of the deal, why then was I allowed to make this bet and never warned that this bet was illegal until I tried to make a cashout!?
Player #2:
When i attempted to withdraw $1500 from my oddsmaker.com account, my entire account of $1749 was frozen and my funds seized. They claim I broke a bonus regulation although this was not bonus money and i had been making similar winning and losing bets for a month on their website with no problems.
Player #3:
I recieved a bonus from oddsmaker. I have been playing it and i clicked live chat to inquire why a wager didn't show up from the day before. The Rep 'andrew" quickly said i violated the terms and conditions by placing a parlay wager over a month before out chat knowing that i can only view back 30 days of wagers. He quickly then took all of the money out of my account and ended the chat session.
In May of 2009 a player accepted a promotion offering $500 in free bets with a five time (5x) roll over (play-through) on his winnings that could not be withdrawn for 30 days. The player went on a winning streak and promptly turned the $500 in free plays into an $8,400 cash balance. The player told his father about the promotion. The father pursued the free-play from his residence in a different town but was denied due to the sportsbook targeting only specific bettors. The winning player was told that his winnings from the promotion will not be paid due to Oddsmaker (SBR rating D-) taking issue with the fact that he shared the promotion with a third party without authorization. SBR has made its position clear that the matter of a third party's inactive account is not relevant to his winnings. Oddsmaker has confirmed the facts of the player's complaint and stated they will not pay him his May winnings because he "lied" about being authorized to refer others to the promotion and was "rude and arrogant" to the Oddsmaker.com staff.
Due to Oddsmaker's poor reputation they are required to target players with big bonuses who may be uneducated about the industry. SBR routinely receives complaints from players who are lucky enough to go on a winning run only to find the sportsbook has created a reason to deny winnings. Oddsmaker partnered with no-pay scam group Futurebet, now known as IGaming Software (IGS), in 2007. After Futurebet stiffed the majority of its licensee (turnkey) sportsbooks and kept its player deposits, it changed its brand name and website from Futurebet.com to IGamingSoftware.com. Shortly before it stole licensee and player funds it made Oddsmaker and BetOnUSA (SBR rating D-) its main revenue sources. IGS staff denies association with Futurebet despite the obvious signs such as site similarities, management, and using the same unique server. 06.14.2008 (10:56 PM CST)Oddsmaker (SBR rating D-) cancels winning bets; cites bonus terms
A new player accepted a free $200 account offer from
Oddsmaker. He also deposited $500 in order to increase the amount of money he could risk at once. The sportsbook confiscated all winnings including money won from the player's deposit. Oddsmaker states that the player made a parlay which is against the bonus terms and the reason for management's decision.
Player: I got the letter offering a $200 bonus for signing up. $200 is too little to play so I added $500 cash at the same time. That gave me $700 to play with. I ran it to $3600 winnings that weekend when I inquired how much of it was available for withdrawal they told me none that I had broke the rules by betting a parlay. I made a good 20 straight bets before any parlay and then another 20 bets after that.
All those bets were in the $100-$300 range. When they refused to pay I asked if they were going to refund my $500 if I had lost. Of course not, so what they were saying is I risked $500 cash with no chance of winning and they weren't going to let me know I broke the rules or was playing for nothing until 1) I went broke 2) I tried to make a withdrawal.
In my mind the bet I broke the rules on (which I was unaware of) should have voided the $200 and either 1) they notify me 2) All bets from then on were good. In reality considering I never lost the $200 all bets should have counted. They continued to let me make numerous bets and run up the figure and if I hadn't inquired can you imagine if I had ran it to 10 or 15 large how much more pissed I had been. You know in this business you go hot and cold I got hot at the wrong time with the wrong book. I probably lose $30,000 to $40,000 a year. To win back 3,000-4,000- is a good weekend. What really pissed me off is I had bets pending. When I called and those bets weren't honored after all was said and done I was really irked. They told me my figure would be reset to $500 after ALL pending bets were graded.Go figure. Thanks for your help.
04.08.2008 (11:20 PM CST)Bet1128 (SBR rating C-) voids wagers after lines change in players' favor
SBR received five complaints from Bet1128 players who had valid bets canceled in 2007. Bet1128 has claimed that linesmakers made "an obvious error" when they fail to move the line with the betting market.
Player on 3/13/08: Yesterday I was treated unfairly by
bet1128 (bet1128.com - former Paradisebet). They voided my bets on Chilean League match Palestino vs Huachipato claiming there was a mistake in the odds. This however clearly was not the case. True that at the time I placed these bets their odd for away team was above market average. Their were among the last to keep it that high. But this was caused by general line movement on this game yesterday morning and surely not by oddsmaker's mistake. I placed two bets around 06:30 GMT and they voided them almost three hours later when these bets were indeed in quite a contrast with market average odd. I intervened by sending an e-mail and on live chat service but to no avail. I am not expecting you to waste your time to take up this case with them as I am fully aware they have a history of such practices and the chance to reverse the decision (one bet would be won) is minimal. My main point is that a wider public read this and know what they can expect from this sportsbook.
Player 2: The draw was available at 3.6-3.8 in a few places and Huachipato at 5.5-5.80 in a few places as well. What it happened is that there was a very big move on the odds in that match and they got caught as many other bookmakers. But instead of honour their odds as everyone does they just claim that their odds were wrong and they void all bets. I think this is totally unacceptable and I would like you to make public their decision in your website and review their rating accordingly.

The player used a $100 promotional offer to build his account to $1,018.75. He then learned he overlooked a rule stating that parlays are not allowed. He also learned that the consequence of breaking this rule, which is not listed, is voiding all bets. Many players who bring the account over $1000 find that Oddsmaker finds a reason to void their winnings. Oddsmaker told SBR last month that they planned to update their terms of service but has yet to do so.
Player: About three months ago OddsMaker direct mailed me with an offer to open an account and get a $100 Free Bonus upon registration. I opened an account and turned the $100 bonus into $1,018.75. I then contacted OddsMaker's "LIVE Chat" to learn when I was able to withdraw money from the account. Service advisor "Pamela" told me that I had to hit $1,500 through straight bets only, e.g. no parlays or teasers, before I could make a withdrawal. I told "Pamela" that I only played straight bets with one exception being a sole $50 parlay that was a losing ticket. Upon learning about the one parlay, "Pamela" chose to reset my account, e.g. nullified all my winnings, citing that I violated the bonus disclaimer. I am totally stunned to say the least about the resetting of the account as I was not aware of the straight bets only rule. Surely, this can't be right. I placed only one parlay and it is just totally unfair and unacceptable to me that this leads to a nullification of all bets placed. Indeed, the parlay was a loser and was played after the $100 Free Bonus had been turned over a number of times on straight wagers. I worked very hard turning the $100 into more than $1,000 just for OddsMaker to undo this by a very harsh, unfair and unreasonable rule interpretation. The terms of conditions related to this particular bonus (copied in below) does indeed NOT state that any rule violation - no matter how petty - leads to total nullification of all wagers placed. I can understand if I lose my $100 Free Bonus, but to have all winnings taken away because of a $50 parlay loser makes absolutely no sense to me and I think that OddsMaker is totally out of line by doing so.
02.03.2008 (11:22 PM CST)AceCity is a sister book of Oddsmaker (SBR rating D-). OddsMaker ownership has closed its less successful sportsbook brands in the past while stiffing large players. Oddsmaker sister book BetOnUSA (SBR rating D-) recently forced a player to accept about half of a six-figure casino jackpot win. Players are advised to avoid AceCity.
01.19.2008 (11:20 PM CST)Player vs. Oddsmaker (SBR rating D-) Update
Oddsmaker originally voided almost $1000 in winnings after the player placed a $5 parlay with promotional funds. Oddsmaker rules state that parlays will not be accepted in connection with these bonus funds but do not address subsequent winning bets. Oddsmaker did state that they would be adding a statement in their rules that would inform future players that a single parlay bet may result in confiscation of other winnings from the bonus. Oddsmaker has since credited the player with $73, the amount won prior to the offending parlay wager. BigJuicyOdds (SBR rating D+) read the SBR complaint report and has given the player a $1,000 free account with a 10x rollover.
01.10.2008 (10:36 PM CST)Oddsmaker (SBR rating D-) voids player's $800 winnings from free $100 promotion
The player was able to use the book's free $100 promotional offer to win $800 for a total balance of $900. He then placed a parlay bet bringing the account over $1000. Parlay wagers are against the promotion's terms and conditions. Instead of canceling the winning parlay, all wagering activity was erased and the bettor was "reset" to the original $100. Oddsmaker's sister book
BetOnUSA (SBR rating D-) is known for marketing free money offers to certain users and finding reasons to avoid paying those who manage to reach the required $1,500 mark. |

The sportsbook operation blatantly lies to an individual interested in owning a gambling site, trying to convince him that IGamingSoftware is not the new name for, or affiliated with, Futurebet. "IGS Ron" tells the potential site owner that Oddsmaker is one of the books that IGS owns and it is not Futurebet, forgetting that the Oddsmaker cashier page is labeled as "Futurebet payment systems." Futurebet Gaming stiffed the majority of its white label webmaster clients in 2007 while moving Oddsmaker and BetOnUSA to the gaming platform which it renamed IGamingSoftware or "IGS." The partnership with Oddsmaker and sister site BetOnUSA is the primary source of revenue for Futurebet ownership.
Dear Sir/Madam, I was contacted by Mr.Ron **** from FutureBet now(IGS), and he tried to pull off a similar scam with me as well, but thanks to your website I was saved, I am ready to testify at any point if you wish because you just saved I don’t know probably 500K of mine and I am very glad that I checked your website. I have sent a copy of my conversation with him in an email just so that you know that he is still active and doing this. He had called me last week and given me figures for starting up a casino from scratch which are as below:
70,000 Software
20,000 Reserve
15% Monthly Royalty
1500 Monthly Maintenance
Thank you once again SBR! |

The Canadian company is not processing withdrawals on behalf of its sportsbooks with the exception of BetOnUSA (SBR rating D-) and sister book, Oddsmaker (SBR rating D-). Dimeline tells SBR that it had to pay players through private processing after being denied reserves and earned revenue from Futurebet wagering services.
11.21.2007 (06:24 PM CST)SafariCasino, MayanSports and BetTheGlobe upgraded from F to D. The books' owner reports paying all players with privately held funds due to Futurebet's unwillingness to pay. Futurebet is withholding its licensee's funds while refusing to pay its users. Some Futurebet sportsbooks have closed down while others are attempting to work out deals to move player balances to other sportsbook operations, like
Linesmaker.co.uk (SBR rating D+) has done. SBR expects only Futurebet-owned
SportsbookUSA (SBR rating F) and
new Futurebet partners BetOnUSA (SBR rating D-) &
Oddsmaker (SBR rating D-) players to receive payments from the Futurebet cashier. Players should avoid these scam books which have proven they are not opposed to stealing funds.
11.02.2007 (11:44 AM CST)Oddsmaker (SBR rating D-) confiscates $1,500 balance. A player was able to take a $100 free-cash offer and bring his account up to $1,500 with six winning wagers but was told his winnings were void because the same player account was previously credited with the $100, which was lost. The sportsbook requires players to reach a balance of $1,500 before they may withdraw winnings derived from the bonus money. Oddsmaker's sister book BetOnUSA (SBR rating D-) is known for finding reasons not to pay players who manage to make the $1,500 mark and for "mistakenly" crediting the same accounts twice or more, sometimes years after the bettor has first lost the bonus money. Crediting players who have already received the bonus gives the book a free shot at bringing in inactive customers who never actually have a chance to win. The sportsbook is aware of which players are receiving the offer as it is targeted to specific players and is not marketed to the general public.
10.07.2007 (11:48 PM CST)The sportsbook was part of the BetOnUSA Group (Empire Entertainment Ltd) before BetOnUSA moved its network of
sportsbook websites under the
Sportsbook.com Group (Jazette Enterprises Ltd) in December of 2006. When BetOnUSA chose to cut ties with Jazette and move its websites to the SportsbookUSA Group (Futurebet) last month they redirected PyramidCasino.com to land at BetOnUSA.com. Most PyramidCasino account holders can log in at BetOnUSA (SBR rating D). This player has been told by BetOnUSA that they have not received the funds from the Sportsbook.com operation and are not responsible for the balance despite owning the site, which now points to BetOnUSA. Sportsbook.com management claims the player debt belongs to BetOnUSA despite that funds were won when the site was managed by the Sportsbook.com Group and the player currently being able to log in to his zeroed out account using the Jazette-operated Sportsbetting.com (SBR rating D+). This is the second player to report that the two companies are playing hot potato with his balance. A player who won over $100,000 from BetOnUSA's casino has not been able to access the $85,000 that was remaining in his BetOnUSA account. Both companies claim the debt belongs to the other. BetOnUSA is owned by the same group that owns Oddsmaker (SBR rating D-). These issues serve as a reminder of the added risk that comes with playing at

SBR rating guide as a member of the Futurebet Group of sportsbooks and should be avoided. Oddsmaker is now relying on Futurebet's cashier and PlayerSupport services as well as its software. The group's payout complaints are on the rise as they are each year before the start of the betting season.
