Dayton moved into the rankings with their strong win against Pitt last weekend, and the Flyers will be fired up at home tonight when they take on their in-state rivals from Akron. A big reason for Dayton's 11-1 record so far has been the play of senior guard Brian Roberts who leads the team with 19.3 points per game and exploded for 31 in the Flyers' 25-point rout of the Panthers.
Dayton cracked the Top 25 for the first time in four years with a stunning rout of Pitt last weekend. The Flyers have won 11 straight and if they're not caught looking ahead to the start of Atlantic 10 play, they should be able to handle their in-state rival.
Dayton is 11-1 and counting on Brian Roberts to give them a big game tonight against the Akron Zips who are 10-2 and have a five-game winning streak. Roberts equaled a season high with 31 points against Pittsburgh, also making five 3-pointers for the second time this season. Dayton has won 17 straight non-conference home games and are a perfect 8-0 at home this season, with a 3-1 record ATS.
The Zips, despite their lofty record, are just 1-3 on the road ATS. I'm looking for the Flyers to come away with a double-digit win tonight and further solidify their place among the top hoop teams in the country.
Free Pick: Dayton -7 (-110)
