The 2013 NIT Season Tip-Off will run from Nov. 18-29, with 16 teams focused on trying to reach the final game at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Let’s take a closer look at the four teams that will likely be
favored to win it all in the college basketball betting odds.
Alabama Crimson Tide
The program finished with a 23-13 straight up (SU) and 16-16
against-the-spread (ATS) record during the 2012-13 season, with its season

Sophomore guard Trevor Lacey has decided to transfer from the
team during the offseason, which is rather significant due to averaging 11.3
points, 3.8 rebounds and a team-leading 3.2 assists per game last year.
Alabama will lean heavily on senior guard Trevor Releford in the
backcourt, with the senior entering as the Southeastern Conference’s active
leader in points, assists and steals.
The program went 27-8 SU and 17-16 ATS last season, but was

Duke Blue Devils
One of the more storied programs in college basketball will
return just two starters, but Quinn Cook and Rasheed Sulaimon did combine to
average 23.3 points and 7.2 rebounds a season ago.
All eyes will be on freshman forward Jabari Parker, who comes to
Durham after winning four consecutive state championships in Illinois. He
was a McDonald’s All-America selection during his senior year—averaging 18.4
points and 10.4 rebounds.
Rutgers Scarlet Knights
Head coach Eddie Jordan enters his first season directing the
team, as he takes over for Mike Rice, who was fired after a video showed him
shoving and kicking players.
Myles Mack and Jerome Seagears will be the leaders on the floor,
as they’ve combined to play 126 games and make 87 starts in the backcourt in
