The Blazers are struggling offensively while the Nets have the worst offense in the NBA, and there teams combined for only 176 points in their first meeting. Go Under in New Jersey.
The Portland Trail Blazers continue to struggle offensively even as some of their walking wounded have started to come back, and the New Jersey Nets are, well the Nets, so we are looking for a low scoring game in New Jersey tonight.
The Blazers have reached 100 points just twice in the last seven games, and those came against a couple of fast-paced teams in Phoenix and the Clippers, with the latter coming at home where the Portland offense has been better. What is more disturbing is the fact that the Blazers have scored 82 points or less in four of the last seven games, and they even needed overtime to reach 89 points in a loss to the Utah Jazz Sunday.
The Nets continue to be the worst offensive team in the NBA, and they are averaging just 89.2 points per game at home this season and 89.4 points over their last five games, which is evidence that they have not been improving. New Jersey did inexplicably score 103 points in a shocking upset at Charlotte in their first game following the All-Star break, but that is the only time they have reached 100 points in their last 12 games.
Remember also that only 176 points were scored in the first meeting between these teams this season in a 93-83 Blazers victory in Portland back in November, and that was when the Blazers were fully healthy.
