We went cold after almost two weeks of hot NBA Picks, however I am back on my horse tonight for the large NBA card.

The NBA Odds have several games that catch my eye, however there are two in particular that are intriguing enough to share in my NBA Picks of the day.

76ers vs. Celtics

After playing last night in New York, the Celtics take their crew a few hours north back to Boston, where they will meet up with the Sixers. The NBA Odds have the Celtics as -3 ½ favorites despite playing last night on the road, with a total of 202 points. Boston had been playing good defense this season, however the 114 given up last night by the Celtics is only the tip of the iceberg.

In their last ten games, the Celtics are giving up an average of over 100 points per game, and while they are going into an environment that might be very friendly for scoring tonight, I think a play on the over is in order. Boston’s defense off a back to back will only decline, and from where they have played recently, it makes the total look great.

While the Celtics have been far from great on defense recently, the Sixers haven’t played any defense all season. The Sixers are giving up over 110 points per game on the road this season, and 111 points per game when playing against their division.

However this is the first time of four times the Celtics and Sixers will meet up this season, and even though hey haven’t played one another yet, I still think the over is the play considering the tired legs of Boston. Even though in their last ten games the C’s have scored only 93 points per game, offense comes easy against the Sixers, especially heading into Boston tonight. The over has gone 9-4 in the last 13 meetings from these two teams, and I see that trend continuing this evening.

My Pick: OVER 202

Suns vs. Bucks

The Suns have continued to be the most undervalued team in the league, and tonight they face the worst team in the entire NBA, the Milwaukee Bucks. The NBA Odds have the Suns as -8 road favorites in this one, with a total of 201 points. With all of the Bucks’ ‘injuries’ I find it hard to not really like Phoenix tonight.

The Bucks have been getting out-classed this season and at home, they are a horrendous 6-15 ATS. The Clippers blew them out this past Monday night, and I think the Suns are going to do the same to them tonight. Phoenix is 15-6-1 ATS on the road this season and they are 9-5 ATS taking on the Eastern Conference.

The Suns are also on a nice offense streak right now, and Milwaukee’s horrid on that end of the floor. In their last ten games, the Suns are averaging over 109 points per game, while the Bucks are scoring only 87 points per game in their last ten. Even though they don’t have much of an advantage down low, if Larry Sanders misses the game again, the odds of the Suns getting a big win are good.

Sanders and OJ Mayo missed Monday’s game with the flu, and I believe Sanders did not practice yesterday. Even if they do play, the Suns will run up and down on Milwaukee tonight to get the win. It is their 5th game in eight nights, but against a poor team, I think the Suns can still cover.

My Pick: Suns -8
