Coming off their two biggest margins of victory this season, the Los Angeles Clippers look to win their third straight game Monday night on the road at the Charlotte Bobcats.
The Los Anegels Clippers are looking to finish their final game on an East Coast road trip with a victory tonight against the banged-up Charlotte Bobcats.
The Bobcats will be without Raja Bell and Gerald Wallace again tonight. The Bobcats miss Wallace's solid play, they are just 1-4 ATS since the forward has been out of action. On a bad note he is expected to be out until after the All-Star break.
The Clippers are on the final game of a grueling 7-game road trip. They are 2-4 SU and 2-4 ATS on this trip. They have won as underdogs in their two previous games at Memphis and Atlanta. The Bobcats are trying to bounce out of a 5-game losing streak themselves. Coaches and players both agree the final game of a long road trip is usually the hardest. We would normally play with the Bobcats here but with how strong the Clippers have been the past two games is impressing. The shorthanded Bobcats may be fatigued tonight considering three starters (Boris Diaw, Ray Felton and D.J.Augustin) all played 39+ minutes last night at Miami.
The Clippers haven't won three straight games since a stretch between December 12 and December 16, but the Bobcats are allowing 100 PPG and only scoring 89 PPG since Wallace went out. That doesn't look good for them, especially since the Clippers are coming off back-to-back wins beating opponents by 20+ points. The last two wins are actually there two largest victory margins of the season.
We are going to back the hotter Clippers against a struggling Bobcats team. They probably will continue to struggle unitll after the All-Star break when they are healthy again. We're going to follow the heavy line movement this morning so take the Clippers tonight.
Free Pick: Clippers +1 (-110)
