The Warriors play at the fastest pace in the NBA, but this total is still 15 points higher than their overall combined scoring average. Also, the Raptors are playing some defense now.
Now we realize that the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors each like to play at a frenetic pace, but this total still seems grossly inflated when looking at the season-to-date averages of these clubs.
The Warriors play at the fastest pace of any team in the NBA, and as a result, they simultaneously average 108.8 points per game and allow 112.6 points per contest. To give you an idea of just how high this posted total is, bear in mind that even that high combined average of 221.4 points is about 15 points less than this total! Furthermore, Golden State road games are averaging 219.0 points, with the Under actually going 20-15-1 in Warriors toad games.
Similarly, the Raptors are averaging 103.8 points and allowing 105.6, and while that would normally be good enough to go Over, that combined average of 209.4 points is an unbelievable 27 points less than this total.
Consider also that Toronto has improved defensively lately out of necessity, as they try and hold on to the eighth and final playoff spot in the East. Prior to their 128-123 overtime win at Philadelphia last night, they had allowed less than 100 points in three of their previous four games and 101 points in the other one. Also, the fact that the Raptors played last night is significant because their scoring average drops to 99.8 points playing with no rest this year.

While this game should still sail over 200 points, we do not expect the final total to be nearly as high as this bloated total would suggest.
Free Pick: Warriors, Raptors Under 236½ (-110)
