The Bobcats have a coaching advantage tonight when Larry Brown takes his troops on the road to visit Erik Spoelstra and his Miami Heat. Take the points with Charlotte.
The Charlotte Bobcats take on the Miami Heat on the road Sunday evening in a matchup of a wily, veteran head coach in Larry Brown against an aspiring young blood in Erik Spoelstra.
These same two squads met two months ago on this floor when Miami edged Charlotte, 100-96, as eight-point favorites to ‘improve’ to 2-6 both straight up and against the spread as of late in this series.
As we’ve repeatedly pointed out before on these pages, Spoelstra is developing into a “good dog / bad favorite” coach. That’s confirmed by his 1-5 ATS mark when laying seven or more points. He’s also 1-5 ATS at home against foes with same season revenge. On top of all this, the Heat are an ice cold 2-13-1 ATS at home on Sundays, including 1-7 SU and 0-8 ATS on the last eight occasions.
Look for Brownie to out-coach Spoelstra tonight.
Free Pick: Bobcats +7½ (-110)
