MyBet (SBR rating D) confiscates €911. A MyBet player who deposited €410 into the sportsbook increased his balance to €1,321, then had his account closed and deposit refunded. MyBet stated that unspecified violations necessitated the move, but declined to share those reasons with SBR. The sportsbook claims the player was made aware of the details - the player denies receiving any explanation from MyBet on the funds confiscation.
This is the fourth open dispute against MyBet for confiscation of player balances. In each case, MyBet has failed to offer evidence of wrongdoing to the players involved or SBR. Most recently, SBR reported on 21 November 2011 that a player had an €80 deposit refunded and more than €300 in winnings voided.
MyBet's sportsbook rating has been lowered from D+ to D. MyBet is a Malta-based organisation that caters to the European market.

A MyBet (SBR rating D+) player writes to SBR with an account complaint. The player registered to MyBet and made a first-time deposit of €80 before increasing his account to €368.71. The player tells SBR that MyBet refunded his deposit and closed his account after accusing the player of being connected to other account-holders. The player denies the charge.
MyBet is a Malta-based sportsbook. Malta sportsbooks have recently come under fire, as dodgy sportsbook
owners gravitate to the country for their lax gaming restrictions. Recent Malta scam sportsbooks include Stryyke (SBR rating F), BetOnBet (SBR rating F), and BetAfterBet (SBR rating F). MyBet is one of the only Malta sportsbooks not on SBR's scam sportsbooks blacklist. MyBet had a rating of D+ initiated by Sportsbook Review on April 7th, 2011.
SBR will update this report.
Sportsbook players with feedback or complaints are asked to submit a sportsbook complaint form, or dial 1-830-255-4677 during normal business hours to speak with a Sportsbook Review dispute analyst.

A MyBet sportsbook (SBR rating D+) player tells SportsbookReview that he made a payout request for €6200 on August 16th, 2011 through Moneybookers. The player reports that he was told that there were technical issues within the payouts department that prevented MyBet from willing his withdrawal. The player was told that he would receive his funds by Monday, August 22nd but has not yet been credited.
While only waiting for four business days, the player has grown apprehensive over the state of the D+ rated Mybet, a Malta based operation that has confiscated winnings in the past after alleging account theft. SBR urges bettors to use extreme caution when choosing to deposit with lowly rated sportsbooks with troubled histories. SBR is following up on this player's sportsbook complaint. | Mybet sportsbook news

"I have been playing at Placemybet.com for about 8 months (acct # XXXXXXXXX) and recently referred George XXXXX (acct # XXXXXXXXX,) a friend of mine. I told him that I received a bonus of 25% and he might get the same. He called them to open an account and they told him that the norm was a 25% bonus only for deposits completed online, but since he wanted to open with $10,000, they could only do so by telephone and would make an exception and give him the 25% anyway. He confirmed the 25% for his telephone deposit on three separate occasions, but after he deposited the funds, only a 10% bonus was placed in his account. When he called to complain the manager said that he would review the phone calls and let him know. He called later and the manager told him that he listened to the tapes and, despite the fact that three different people told George that he would receive the 25% for the telephone deposit, that was not their policy and they would not honor that promise (so why did they even listen to the calls?). I also called as the person who had referred George and a woman told me that they would lose their gambling license if they gave him more than is stated on the website for a phone deposit (ironically, they gave me 25% on a phone deposit in April when their site said the same thing it says now). George finally buckled and accepted the 10% bonus because he wanted to start betting his account. Needless to say, my friend George was upset with me for sending him there."
SBR to inquire with PlaceMyBet management.
