04.17.2013 (11:18 AM CST)Legends Sports (SBR rating A+) gaming license has been revoked in Panama. As a result, Legends has ceased accepting wagers and is in the process of implementing their contingency plan having player funds assumed by an A rated sportsbook. Players will be contacted within 48 hours with new account information. A minimal 2X play-through will be required prior to any cashout. This balance takeover is for players that held deposited funds with Legends; not users that had private arrangements.

Charges include racketeering, conspiring to commit money laundering, money laundering, and operating an illegal gambling business. The 95-page indictment seeks a default judgment of at least $1 billion.

Legends (SBR rating A+) will make the switch to BetLegends.eu tomorrow morning. Legends is the latest sportsbook to change domain names on the heels of legal controversy and in some cases outright seizures of the ".com" domains. Many iGaming sportsbooks now sport a .Eu, .Ag, or .Cz domain. Legends management tells SBR that nothing will change in player accounts and that the switch is merely a business decision.

UPDATE: Players are now able to place wagers through the Legends website.
Legends (SBR rating A+) is undergoing a software upgrade. The Legends website will be taken down at approximately 10:00AM EDT while the upgrade takes place. Management tells SBR that they expect the entire process to take a few hours. Players will be unable to wager by phone during this time. The software upgrade will include new features like showing bettors the exact cents of their wagers without rounding.

SBRforum sends a big congratulations to the 2011 NCAA Brackets contest winners. $5,000 in cash was awarded to the top 10 SBRforum bracket holders. Robbie has created the likes of LegendSportsbook to fool bettors into believing they were accessing the actual Legends (SBR rating A+) sportsbook. Robbie attempts to piggyback off brands with solid reputations to entice player deposits. Before it stopped taking post-up bets online, Delmar was known as a good high limit sportsbook.

A player googled Legends, intending to find Legends (SBR rating A+), but instead came across the impersonating sportsbook LegendsSportsbook, which is operated by Robbie, formerly of defunct Apex Sports (SBR rating F). The player provided his real Legends account and was given Western Union instructions. The player then sent $500 to the fake Legends before realizing his error. SBR expects the scam sportsbook to credit the player his $500.

The attack uses a large amount of the websites server and bandwidth resources in an attempt to keep real users from accessing the site. Legends' IT team has been working on new filters since Saturday. Players can also manage their account by phone at 1-800-246-9828.

BetPhoenixSports.com is designed to con players into believing they are actually playing with B+ rated BetPhoenix (BetPhoenix.com). The new cyber-squatting website uses the Phoenix brand but operates on the Bet33 (SBR rating F) wagering platform. This is not the first time Robbie has tried to impersonate and capitalize on the reputation of other sportsbooks. Apex owner, Robbie (AKA Zach), is operating legendsportsbook.com which has attracted bettors looking for the real Legendz (SBR rating A+).

Player: After hearing about how good Legendz was and that you gave it an A+ rating I decided to join. I went to LegendsSportsbook.com and sent 250 bucks! It wasnt until 2 week later when i tried to get there from SBROdds did i realize they were two different websites! I checked the rating guide and realised a scammer has my money.
Robbie, formerly of defunct Apex Sports (SBR rating F) is operating legendsportsbook.com which has attracted bettors looking for the real Legendz (SBR rating A+). SBR has warned players since 2006 of LasPalmasSportsbook.com after readers reported depositing in what they believed to be LasPalmas (SBR rating B-). Bettors should also beware of OceanSportsbook (SBR rating F) and AmericasBookie (SBR rating F). Both are part of this network of scam sites.
