Intertops Sportsbook policy change

Intertops (SBR rating B+) is no longer accepting new player registrations from the US. SBR noted the account change in the Sportsbook Industry forum on June 20th. SBR has since spoken with management, who state the change is effective immediately and does not affect existing account-holders. Dormant accounts in good standing are able to continue using Intertops Sportsbook.

SportsbookReview has updated the Best Baseball Lines page which now includes Intertops (SBR rating B+). Intertops managed to make the list with a 10 cent line breaking at -140. The latest update is to BetJamaica's listing. The sportsbook, which offers a 10 cent line up to -190, will add 5 inning lines as well as reverse run-lines for the 2008 season. SBR will soon list pricing information for exchange-style sportsbooks.

SBR has learned that this low-limit sportsbook will soon join the DonBest premium line service as well as the G&J Live service and raise betting limits. An Intertops spokesman also reported that I’Tops will offer opinionated lines. If these reports prove true this will be a significant change in the way this sportsbook conducts business.

Acquisition minded VIP Sports(SBR rating A+) to raise millions of dollars in an Initial Public Offering(IPO) on June 28th.

VIP looks to swell its considerable acquisition war chest. Take-over candidates that VIP has been rumored to be considering include; BetWWTS(SBR rating A+), Intertops(SBR rating C+), SportsInteraction(SBR rating D+) and Bowmans(SBR rating A-).

Salma Crump who pioneered the online launch of WWTS has joined Olympic (SBR rating A+).

Salma is the latest ex WWTS executive to land with an A+ sportsbook. Her presence and leadership could make a major difference. Simon Noble, ex CEO of WWTS and Intertops, recently joined Pinnacle (SBR rating A+). And finally the dynamic Jessica Davis, COO of BetWWTS (SBR rating A+), has her contract extended as does CEO Collin Walker. The stability at BetWWTS is a welcome sign as they prepare to integrate their acquisition of Cybersportsbook.

says good-bye to their Chief Operations Officer, Michael Maerz. Michael started with the company 8 years ago as a linesman and moved through the ranks, eventually taking the position of COO after the departure of Simon Noble. He lead the company for three years. Intertops Financial Officer Tom Roach will take over as COO.

SBR mailbag: Customer Service Complaints

Intertops (SBR rating C+) – Customers complain that Intertops now taking three business days to process Neteller withdrawals. The change from two days was not noted on the website. Players also have reported that the book is not responding to email inquiries.

SportingbetUSA (SBR rating C+) – Player complains about LiveChat service.
“When I was on the live chat with one of their staff members, Frank, I was assured of a 15% immediate bonus within 24hrs. I waited 24hrs to no avail. So I did 3 live chats in 2hrs. The first guy (David) told me it would be credited in minutes. The 2nd guy at first told me it’s 24-48hrs but later corrected himself when I reminded him it is spelt out on his website (within 24hrs). The 3rd guy really dropped the bombshell, said that I need to show more patience and this being a Sunday usually experience heavy traffic and my bonus will take up to 36hrs! What crap, now I know why you guys give them a C+”

BetonUSA (SBR rating D-) – SBR continues to receive a steady flow of complaints.
“Hey Bill, I contacted BetOnUSA last night to see about the status of my Neteller withdrawal. They are completely giving me the run around. Last night I talked to a lady who said it would be processed within 48 hours and then it would take another 48 hours to receive it in my Neteller. That seemed logical as I went back and checked out the withdrawal slip and it said it would take 48 hours to process. Tonight I talked to a guy who basically said that they were sending it in a completely different way then I originally requested it (via Neteller). I told him that it was a mistake and it was supposed to get sent to my Neteller account as I requested. He said that he would change it making it another 48 hour processing wait and 5-7 days to reach my account. Thanks for the help! This will be the last time I deal with a book with this poor a rating.”

Multiple players reported receiving Neteller payouts from Intertops today after experiencing a 4-7 day slow-pay. However, due to management's admission that they will not be current until Friday, SBR has further downgraded Intertops from C+ to C-.

Intertops (SBR rating C+) management is now telling SBR that they may not become current with Neteller payouts until Friday. Contrary to what SBR was told earlier, players who deposited with Neteller will not have the option to receive their funds via a different withdrawal method. Some players have reported receiving a payout today. SBR has downgraded Intertops from B+ to C+.

Players with Sportsbook.com (SBR rating C-), Intertops (SBR rating B+), BetOnUSA (SBR rating D-), submit new complaints. Positive Feedback submitted by players at Bodog (SBR rating A-), Diamond International (SBR rating B+), Mybookie (SBR rating C), and PayoffsPlus, which has been upgraded from C to C+ this week.

SBR receives multiple complaints from players waiting for Neteller payouts from Intertops (SBR rating B+). Intertops states that their Neteller account is unfunded due to a poorly scheduled promotion. Management expects their merchant account to be fully funded by Wednesday, leaving some players waiting 10 days. It is SBR’s opinion that 10 days is an excessive amount of time to fund a merchant account. However, Intertops is offering alternate payment options with fees not to exceed the cost of Neteller. Players with further concerns should write to assistance@sportbookreview.com.

BetWWTS(SBR rating A+) reportedly acquiring rival sportsbook

for $6.15 million dollars. BetWWTS has raised $3.5 million dollars by issuing additional common shares. The acquisition will be a cash and stock deal. The acquisition is subject to BetWWTS’s Board of Directors and shareholder approval. There is speculation the takeover candidate is Intertops (SBR rating B+) which would be a nice acquisition. SBR would include Gamebookers (SBR rating C+) as a definite possibility.

SBR team heading to Antigua June 16th

to visit WWTS (SBR rating A+), Intertops (SBR rating B) and WSEX (SBR rating A-). On June 19th the SBR team heads for Jamaica for a meeting with legendary operator Spiros of Olympic (SBR rating A+) and BetJamaica (SBR rating A+).
