GetWin (SBR rating C-) is a Malta-based sportsbook that has been online since November 25th, 2010. GetWin debuted in the sportsbook ratings guide at D-, as SBR received a number of complaints involving confiscations made from allegedly related players. The players were determined to be guilty of "organized betting", or collectively pooling funds to circumvent limits. SBR released a video warning against GetWin on April 29th, 2011. A full month later, after numerous emails were exchanged with SBR and the involvement of the Lotteries and Gaming (LGA) of Malta, GetWin released a statement on the account confiscations. The majority of closed accounts were reopened and cleared for payment, whilst a small percentage of affected players were alleged to have violated the sportsbook's rules. SBR considered the matter resolved at that time, but cautioned players that the sportsbook's decision to revisit the complaints could have been aided by pressure from the public, SBR and the LGA.
After making it through the summer with no additional sportsbook complaints, GetWin was removed from the SBR scam sportsbook blacklist and assessed with a rating of D+. In the following months, GetWin revamped its terms and conditions and entirely removed the line pertaining to ambiguous/suspicious bets. GetWin tells SBR that they are working to improve their system and rules to be more secure and convenient for players. GetWin conceded mishandling the confiscation complaints earlier in the year and provided an outlet for SBR to discuss future issues with. GetWin's sportsbook rating has been increased from D+ to C-.
