Court 1 at Roland Garros
Also known as the bullring.I wonder if its profitable to bet all overs on this court with every match played both ATP and WTA.My reasoning is that there is very little space to chase balls here.Just curious on seeing how this would play out.Four matches tommorrow.Lets see how this goes..

what is the reasoning that the size of the court is related to going over? not trying to be whatever but wondering if there is any thougth behind this, before i put money on it. thanks.
Sure man. My theory is that the crowd is right on top of the players with very little room to return balls.I would think it would tend to lead to more rallies which on clay anyway there is more.Coupled with the slow courts at RG anyway kind of cuts down the percentage of players to run away with matches on this court. Over the course of many matches compared to other courts one might gain an advantage on totals. Kind of like the green monster at Fenway or say the wind blowing out stiffly at Wrigley.
this is one of the strangest but very fresh new angles Ive ever heard gambling wise.

There's nothing to see here. Cecchinato has a killer one handed shot that played well today. I've seen the guy in person and he's capable of going far at RG in the right draw, not his year. Every side court has less room (some have far less) at these tournaments. I'd be willing to bet that there are side courts at RG with less room on the sides and the baseline than the bullring. Whole facility is a big relic.
While I don't buy this angle for a second, I do think that some courts have such a unique character where it drastically effects one players performance. Depends on the court and depends on the player. This kind of thing, like the weather thing, are not efficient ways of handicapping these matches.

I'm curious what is the overall o/u at this RG so far. It seems like the conditions are helping the overs, well does not help me, but I am seeing a lot of overs on the board.

when you speak of "court 1" are you speaking of Center Court or the actual Court One? which I classify as either a stadium court or a grounds court based upon attendance
set specifics & I'll look it up
I filter buy Center Courts, Stadium Court and all grounds Courts
and do you want it built argued just against Roland Garros or all Clay? maybe all red clay? eliminating USA green clay) should it include Indoor Clay? (the Germany event) do you want this filtered by grain density? ETC
since elevations are different from Germany to Paris (Paris is lower) I can also back filter against that if you want

Another angle to this is not just the close court and lack of space for rallies.Of course you could argue that less space for rallies would cause unders as points would be quicker.But the crowd is right on top of the players but smaller than chatrier or lenglen.So the adrenaline is more for the players here with raucous crowds.Players have even said they like the more intimate setting than the other two mentioned above as they are more intimadating.Of course throw in a crowd favorite or a frenchman and it gets even more amped.Also I think betting tiebreak in match would be a possibly solid play over time with the above mentioned intangibles.
