Sijsling goes from -205 to -155 wtf!!

Anyone know why?? I'm took it at 205 like a dumbasss. I feel like I should hedge out and eat the small loss. Any advice from the tennis regulars on here would be appreciated.

If you've already made your bet, just let it ride. I think he will win personally and am considering a wager.

Have no idea why the line is rising, but there certainly is some value now in Sijsling...

Or it's a classic trap, like Chardy before him.

Yeah but Chardy's line opened at this level with no dramatical movement. And we all know that Cuevas was extremely solid at Challengers on clay and that Chardy probably doesn't care about this tournament, so that is why I didn't want to touch that match. Sorensen has a pretty poor record on the other hand and didn't even qualify for this event. Sijsling had very poor season so far as well, but he should still beat scrubs like this guy. The line that was initially set by the books was fair in my opinion and have no idea what is behind it's movement upwards, but I'm still taking it

I think main reason is because Sijsling is one of those players that either wants to be there or he doesnt. He has probably one of the most 1st round knock outs out of the top 100 players. Sijsling is known to be unreliable but usually if he gets past the 1st round, he does well.

Sijling on paper is a much better player and should win but I would never bet on him before you watched his motivation levels in the 1st match of a tourney.

I just checked Sorensen's clay record and he has never won against any respectable opponent on that surface, pretty strange to see the public swaying so heavily towards him.

But then again, the public always loves to side against Sijsling, 6 matches in a row in which the public decides to bet against him.

1.65 that's pretty surprising indeed, considering Sorensen sucks as a player.

Check out the liquidity on 2-0 Sorenson. Betfair that is. His price has been slammed!

If this goes to script Sijsling will fix this match to lose 2-0.

A shame for all those with hard earned cash on him.

Yes, very strange. Sijsling is currently listed as a dog at several books

5Dimes doesn't have it listed at all at the moment.

The last time I saw such a huge price turnaround + removal of the prices by majority of the books couple of hours before the match started, was due to retirement of the player prematch.

The listing for the match is slowly being removed from many books.

I have a little on Igor and if can get access to the match at any of my books, I'm buying out.

It has been available from the start @ 365. In fact you could get odds of 5 for 2-0 on Sorenson early on when down a break. Even back on serve he was 2.62 for 2-0.

A shame I can only bet a few cents there lol.

    This Sorensen guy is questioable

I watched him go deep in a challenger in my country. His opponents were missing incredible shots. Sorensen sucks though.

I have no doubt Sijsling threw this one. Just look at this history, he is not such a dumb player to loose to Sorensen. He beats Kohlshreiber, Haas, Youzhny this year and then goes on to loose to players like Kokkinakis at Aus Open, Marchenko and now to Sorensen. I really smell something fishy here. The bets heabily tilted in favor of Sorensen towards the start of the match. I would never rely on Sijsling again, he just screwed me real bad on this one.

^ Sijsling is just one of those players. If he really wants to play, he is a top 50 player but he rarely bothers. Hardly ever comes back from a set down and has like 100 first round losses cause he cant be bothered and just collecting paychecks a lot of the time. Might be fixing, might not be, no one really knows.

Sijsling has a first round match coming up and is always a great fade 1st round. If he wins it, then back him for the rest of the way as he usually plays properly if he makes it through.
