    ATP U.S. Open Hard Court Series: Fantasy Contest

    This is probably my favorite time of the year leading up to my favorite Grand Slam.

    Wanted to see how many diehards would want to be involved in something like this. It'll be for betpoints only and involve just the ATP side of things.

    This would start on July 21st with the Atlanta Open and go through the Winston-Salem Open.

    Will announce some details if we get at least ten people interested in taking part in this. Entry fee will be 50 points. Non-pros/Pros will be eligible. Non-pros remember you can only ship over two points per day, so you'll have to remember to pay out over the course of the contest to be eligible for any prize.

    If you're down to play, just sign-in here and I'll update during the week and have the format ready to roll out by next weekend if we have enough interest.

    FORMAT

    Weekly Selections
    250s: Six player team
    500s/Masters: Eight player team

    Lineup Makeup
    Six Players/One Captain: Only three players can be seeded, the other three must be non-seeds.
    Eight Players/One Captain: Only four players can be seeded, the other four must be non-seeds.
    *With this format, that means that multiple teams may have several of the same players. Your CAPTAIN can be any player on your team.

    Scoring
    Match Wins: 20 points
    Straight Set Match Wins: 30 points
    Tournament Win: 100 points
    Tournament Finals Appearance: 40 points
    *All non-seeded players earn 2x the points
    *Your CAPTAIN each week will earn double points. If it's a non-seeded player, that means you can earn 4x the points.

    1st Match Loss: -15 pts
    Match Loss: -10 pts
    *All seeded players earn 2x the points for losses

    This is just a basic idea. I may tweak a bit from here, but any suggestions/complaints are welcome as I am sure there are some things I have not thought of. To keep players from copying another player's entries each week - all weekly selections would be sent to me via PM & be due before the 1st match of the tournament starts.

    Contest thread will be up on Thursday. Draws normally come out on Sundays, so you do have to do a bit of a quick turnaround on your picks. That's why I suggest you monitor the ATP website as well in case it comes out before I get to post a draw.

    Yes probably the best. The only hiccup might come with qualifiers not being listed depending on what day qualis end.
