Betfair closed my account after 2 bets

Betfair closed my account for what seems to be no legit reason. My account was closed on the 5th of november, no state of reason in any email so i contacted their chat several times. They told me i just have to verify w/ my documents, i did this several times. Then on the 1st of december i got this reply:
We have had to close your account .
Under paragraph 7 of our terms and conditions, we can close down anyone’s account if we suspect they’re acting illegally or fraudulently on our site. We can also retain any money they have in their account. In your case, we’ve decided to do both of those things.
You can take a look at paragraph 7 – and the rest of our terms and conditions – here.
This decision is final and we won’t be able to discuss it any further on the phone, on email, or by post.
    Regards,
    Account Security Team Betfair
This seems like a pure scam, i made 2 bets which i won. Then only a week later i get my account closed. I've tried contacting the IBAS but haven't had a reply, what are my options?
I honestly think this is some a mistake caused by some sort off automatic trigger.

The only reason I see for them to close your account is that your documents are a fraud, they a exchange they dont care if you win or lose

If they have closed your account for fraud/money laundering reasons then they are required to report it to the UKGC and not give you any further information apart from the basic explanation they have.

You are welcome to submit an SBR Sportsbook Complaint but there is a 99% chance they will just tell us they cannot discuss the account as well due to licensing conditions.

I have found a good way to get a response from IBAS is to write to the UKGC and CC IBAS into that email. You need to say to the UKGC that you are trying to access a dispute resolution system and neither Betfair or IBAS will respond to your request for this help and you are asking UKGC to step in and insist one of them address this issue.

That is basically the only responsibility UKGC has toward gamblers. To ensure a proper dispute resolution procedure is available. SO dont go off about the issue. Just ask UKGC to do their job and make sure the complaint is reviewed properly.

    Sorry. My Australian slang.

I just meant do not explain the full details of the problem to UKGC. Just tell them your balance has been confiscated and neither Betfair or IBAS will respond to your request for dispute resolution.

Great, that is exactly what i just did.
If the ibas responds how do they handle the issue, can i reply to their findings or do they just give a final resolution?

This can't be the issue, i literally scanned my passport, put a watermark on it and uploaded it.

Are you in the UK btw?

If not you will need to address a different regulator.

IBAS will usually ask you for details. Request the same from the book, then make a decision on their own. They may ask a follow up question or two but you won't be involved more than that.

This is just a wild guess. But given you seem so surprised about what has happened... I'd say they have linked you to someone else who has done the wrong thing.

The Malta Gaming Authority is the licensing authority for Dutch players.

You will need to appeal here instead of IBAS http://www.mga.org.mt/support/online-gaming-support/

The netherlands isn't in the dropdown menu of country choice

    They responded with this

Further to receipt of submission we have been informed by Betfair that non-UK account members would have to communicate any complaints to their Maltese regulator. This is outlined in their terms and conditions which state the following:

Non-UK Registered Customers and Maltese based products - The Lotteries and Gaming Authority

If you have made a complaint to Betfair in relation to one of our Maltese licensed products and you feel that Betfair's final decision about your dispute was not dealt with satisfactorily, you can raise any unresolved dispute with the Maltese Lotteries and Gaming Authority by emailing: complaints@lga.org.mt The LGA have jurisdiction over Casino, Arcade, Exchange Games, Tote, Multiples, Multiplayer Games and any non-UK registered customers using the betting platform.

I would thereby request you raise your complaint with the LGA on the email address above. Alternatively you can contact the ‘Australian Help Desk of the company who may also be of some assistance.

I am genuinely sorry we can be of no help in your complaint.

    Regards

The LGA is just the old trading name for the MGA. Same place.

Dont worry about Netherlands not being in drop down. They are still the responsible body.

EDIT: Just checked and it's under "The Netherlands" in the drop down.

Hi.I am trying to access a dispute resolution system and neither Betfair or IBAS will respond to my request for this help and I am asking UKGC to step in and insist one of them address this issue.I created an account in betfair. I verified my account with my ID and my Address. And they told me I can deposit and withdraw without problem. I deposited 384 USD using my own verified neteller account. After some live bets in its exchange platform I decided to withdraw my money 551 USD.Next day I received this email We want to get your account up and running, but we’ve had to suspend it until we get some paperwork, as a security measure. We need you to send us some high quality colour photos of your documents, please send us one from each of the below categories: Proof of your ID• A high quality colour photo of your passport, driving licence, or National ID card.Photo of you holding your ID• A high quality colour photo of you holding your above ID next to your face. Proof of your address• A high quality colour photo of a utility bill or a bank statement not more than three months old.• It needs to show your residential address; PO box numbers won’t work.• Online statements won’t work either, sorry.Photo of you holding your Proof of address.• A high quality colour photo of you holding your above proof of address next to your face. What’s next?Take a high quality colour picture of them (make sure it’s readable, a JPEG, JPG or GIF file, and no bigger than 10MB per page) and email them to us at accountsecurity@betfair.com. Remember to include your username in the email. That’s all you need to do. We’ll take care of the rest and will be in touch shortly. Thanks, Account Security TeamBetfair Helpdesk Tel: 0344 871 0000Ireland Tel: 1800 944 000Australia Tel: 1300 238 324International: +44 203 059 8888I sent all documents they asked me. They told me they were going to give me 343 EUR, but I have 551 USD. They didn’t send me nor 343 EUR nor 551 USD.
