    Bizarre GTBets Seizure/Theft - $10

I recently had my account closed by GTBets. As a UK punter the cost of taking a wire in USD is very high and I expressed this to them. While the refused to send me a wire in GBP, they did offer to take $10 off the fee (From $60 to $50). I received an e-mail stating that management approved this.

Upon being sent the wire, I wrote them to casually confirm the amount sent. I was surprised when they told me they sent me an amount that resulted in the full $60 fee being charged. I have spoken with them probably a dozen times about the issue and they acknowledge that the e-mail exists stating the fee should be $50. However, they claim it is not their problem and refuse to send me my money. As of today, my account remains closed.

Just wanted to let everyone know what type of book this is.

Wait, did they send you the full amount except the 10USD discount or are they refusing to send a withdrawal alltogether?

So when a book does not provide a refund as a courtesy of a stated fee, it is theft? So many drama queens. GT is expensive to withdraw from which should always be taken into consideration and this was definitely bad customer service if some details have not conveniently been left out but me thinks the lady doth protest too much!

As you live in the UK you have a ton of options, why did you sign up there if you didn't want to pay the fee when you have so many sites to choose from? Also they have Bitcoin, why didn't you use that?

the op is right in principle. the amount does not matter. gtbets should just do what they said and charge him $50 not $60. this would be enough of a reason for me never to play there. if they are willing to steal $10 they will be willing to steal much more. they know the problem but are not willing to fix it. stuff happens and when it does i expect the sportsbook to make it right if it is there fault and especially if they admit the mistake. thanks for the information even if it only concerns $10.

My account was closed and they were paying the full balance (in theory).

I expect every book to honor their word. I deposited with Neteller and BTC. I was refused payouts via both methods under the guise of "security". Due to the inability to process either Neteller or BTC, they offered to reduce the fee from the usual wire cost of $60 to $50. This was a nice gesture, until they just stole the money back.

I was paid $10 by BTC. Oddly they didn't care about my payment security this time as I was informed I could only have payments processed via wire previously.

I guess they just make things up as they go to harass winners and make it as unfavorable to play there as possible.

Very disappointed they were upgraded on the back of this attempted theft. I shouldn't be forced to making issues public in order for a book to attempt to make things whole. (Aside from the continual dishonesty and lying.)

You got the $10 back..... why are you still bitching? It's like that line from A Bronx Tale...... for $20, that guy is out of your life forever. GT is probably saying the same for you.

I still have not received reimbursement for the hundreds in intermediary bank fees and foreign exchange fees that I was forced to pay. The excuse they gave became obvious bullshit when they refused to use the same method to send me the money that they stole from me.

If a book says something, then doesn't followup and make good on what they have said, they are dishonest. When it involves taking your money, it is theft.

I don't know about you, but I don't like being robbed. Even if they catch the guy and I get my stuff back.

Although I agree with you that GT made a mistake, I disagree when you say that they forced your hand to make this public. You could have submitted a sbr claim without taking this to the forums. However, that doesn't guarantee you would have received compensation ($10) from GT. Glad the matter was resolved in the end.
