    coinbase/ bitcoin withdrawal

Whats up guys, New to this this whole bitcoin thing.. I just did some reading on here.. Which I probably should have before i requested a payout.. Anyway i requested a bitcoin payout this morning.. Thats going to be heading directly to my coinbase wallet.. I have read on here that i should have a middleman basically(blockchain etc) .. I didnt see that i should do this until after i requested my payout..

I guess what i am asking is i see that coinbase will shut you down if they suspect gambling..So I am curious to see if you guys think it will go through ok fro mthe sportsbook to coinbase?? then if it does I will set up blockchain after this so i dont run into this issue again.

    Thanks

The transaction will go through from sportsbook to Coinbase. Even if Coinbase closes your account, they will allow you to cash out.

Did you already receive the payout? If not, cancel the request and redo it.

I don't consider any questions here stupid. We are all here to help each other.

I'd definitely go through blockchain.info between book and Coinbase but an exchange is better to use than a wallet such as blockchain.info.

Things change fast in the bitcoin world. The best way to do things now is use an exchange such as Poloniex between book and Coinbase.

Coinbase > Exchange > Book to deposit.
Book > Exchange > Coinbase to withdraw.

Raiders, does your algorithm above say to skip Blockchain? You say Coinbase > exchange > book. Isn't Coinbase already exchange? If I'm readying this correctly I would go say Coinbase > circle > book?

    Sorry if this is confusing

Coinbase is an exchange too but he means using a differnet exchange in the middle rather than a blockchain.info wallet, is the latest advice. But both ways are better than direct from book to coinbase.

But wouldn't the "exchange " that you are using in the middle ban you too?

Apparently Poloniex doesn't care what we spend on. For now.

Raiders will happen along and confirm/explain I am sure.

Optional is right in that the exchanges don't care right now. Most charge a small fee such as .1% to withdraw. They are profiting from each withdraw. Poloniex is free which is why they are nice to use for the time being.

The other reason for using an exchange is that Coinbase may ask proof of transactions. You can show them transactions from Poloniex and claim to be a crypto-currency trader.

    Raiders,

Like many I was forced into trying BC for the first time this week. Just made my first withdrawal. Requested from 5d overnight Sunday, hit wallet(airbitz) Mon morning. Transferred to Coinbase and sold to bank account shortly after. So currently wait for it to hit my bank account.

Is this the correct process? Or are you suggesting another step in there somewhere?

Also, is it fair to expect about 2 biz days from Coinbase to your bank account?

Thanks a lot for the help man.

yes this is the suggested process....he might also recommended going through a crypto trading site like poloniex to further reduce the scent of gambling ties and give a reasonable excuse to coinbase or circle if they request information.

    Hit bank account this morning...

48 hours, no fees, painless. Not nearly as complicated as originally thought. No idea why I didn't do this sooner. Just requested another one this morning.

Thanks to everyone who contributed a lot of helpful info.

One final question If anyone can answer...

So my wallet address for both airbitz and Coinbase changes after every transaction? I assumed it would stay the same but notice it changed.

    Thanks.

Old addresses will also work. Some wallets change addresses automatically. With the wallets that don't, you can change it manually if you want a new address.
