    Asian Connect Users

AsianConnect no longer offering BETDAQ or Betfair accounts. Does anyone have any information as to why this is the case? I spoke with customer service, but the english barrier is pretty tough and I never get a complete reason as to why. In regards to Betfair, they mentioned about reaching their account limit for the exchange. Can agents be limited in the number accounts they make, sounds odd to me.

That will be disappointing for new people.

No idea about how Betfair handle agents though. Could be right. Their handle may have become too large for BF's comfort.

This is down to Betfair as opposed to AC. Not 100% on the reasoning.
Why don't you just use a friend's account from a country in which Betfair is allowed instead of using an agent?

Easier said then done- I don't have friends that live permanently outside of the country. I would not trust anyone with larger sums of money other then a few people.

Maybe you could find someone in an allowed country who would let you put their utilities in your name for a few months? It's a problem which can be quite easily solved if you're imaginative

Edit - had some PMs but I can't PM until I have 40 posts..

Betfair has merged recently with Paddy Power - could be one reason

Although Ladbrokes took over Betdaq some time ago.

I'm wondering if SBR could maybe get more information on the situation. Betfair is number 1 in many players eyes in terms of places to bet imo.

Agents allow people to skip premium charge, Betfair were never going to allow that to stand.

Everything about them in the last 7/8 years has been focusing on making the sports exchange more like poker, where the money just churns around between players, Betfair take their commission, and near no customers make any profit.
