    Free play or cash bonus

I know I have seen on here somewhere what the difference is and how to calculate the rollover. But I cant figure it out or find it now.

So lets say i'm putting $200 in Bovada who currently has a 50% cash bonus, I assume that means I would get a $100 bonus for a total of $300 in my account, correct? So how does the rollover work? It says the rollover is 3x so would I have to wager a total of $900 before I could ever withdraw any money or is the rollover just applied to the $100 bonus I get?

I also know that there must be a difference between freeplay and cash bonus, so what is it?

Rollover is the same for cash bonus and free play. Divide free play by 2.2 to compare to cash bonus equivalent.

Deposit plus bonus determines rollover. Correct, $900 with Bovada and $200.

Free play loses on push. Cash doesn't although there may be some places that might separate your bonus money and get you on a push.

When calculating the value SBR uses 50% for the freeplay value compared to cash.

    Rather conservative imho.

If you are able to play them on longshots which you can cover with a bet elsewhere they are worth at least 75%.

Best outcome is to lose your freeplays and effectively convert them to cash at another book or exchange.

Also reduces or eliminates your rollover requirement.

Most people dont bet that way or are that experienced. We use a raw calculation of freeplay being worth 50% of a bonus on our bonus listing. The calc does show the player how it would be if they didnt have to line show and were betting both sides.

Use freeplay on series of 3 team parlays. You cover all possibilities and convert to 80 percent cash.

It's been quite a while since I had the opportunity to get any freeplays.
I'm limited to the extent that bonus offers on my accounts are extremely rare.
But when one does come along I like to take a 10/1 or so chance in a golf tournament and lay it at Betfair.
Unless I happen to stab the winner, I generally convert the nominal value of the freeplay to at least 90% in my Betfair account and have no additional rollover requirement at the bonus book.
