Heading to Vegas for Sweet 16- Question/Advice

Hey guys. Hope you're all having a banner year.

Heading to Vegas for the Sweet 16. You think I should come out of the gate swinging...Usually bet $200 on a game or parlay.

Should I make my first bet $500 because of the allure of Vegas or keep striking at 200?

I would just stick to your routine. If at the end you've made some money then one of your last games you could risk like 50%-80% of your profit on a game or two as a grand finale, at least that way you know you'll have a decent roll for the whole time you're there and will enjoy the entire stay.

Go to the Silver Sevens Restaurant...order the Mike Corbin Omelet without the "Special Sauce"....then you're set for the all-in bet like Boo said

Having lived in Vegas during WSOP time, I agree with staying there the minimal amount of time possible.

But to answer OP's question, stick to your routine and enjoy Vegas!

don't bet a nickle the first day and catch an early departure on the 2nd. drive to nipton, ca to buy lottery tickets and then take the shortcut to laughlin (beware of the bad corner) cross over the colorado river and hang out in bullhead city, az for a few hours. nice main street. then drive up to hoover dam and then maybe make a bet in henderson before your flight out. if you have time visit the casino in cal/nev/ari, yes that's a town and kibitz with the locals.

Do not bet more per game just because you're in Vegas. The fact that you're in that atmosphere will make it more exciting than normal, even with the standard bet sizes. This from my experience last weekend.

depends on your other activities. If you gamble in the casino, betting 500 for a game that may stretch to 2-3 hours can be less damaging (this from a degenerate 21 player) and possibly a winner of course.

This. Bet enough on first game that you can't get home if it loses. You will love the rush

If your normal everyday bet is $200 I don't see a problem with jacking it up to $500....this thread is full of gamblers??? live a little!
