As I know, Britsh books are required to have liquidity in their bank accounts to get the license. They have money behind but no one can bet without being limited in no time.

True. I'll rephrase my question - What assets does a book from Bulgaria, with a Curaco licence have?

These guys that lost a lot of money have to "make" a union and put competitive lawyers or private investigators to search the whole thing. I understand that this money has 99% gone. But I hate thinking that this guy is now smoking his cigar in Hawaii considering his new project.

well, as a high-roller tipster I tried very soft with them, my account was fully verified. After I won pretty big on QPR - Leicester with 2.5 odds and betting amount of 3.3k eur, I withdrew my funds, the payout was almost instant, took less than half an hour.

So it was some sort of the trust, also there was completely no bad news about them, some waves from professional or semi-professional tipsters about how is possible to operate with such a low margins took a place.
But in december I started to win and my balance grew to 17.5k EUR.
In January 02 I requested withdrawal and seems money gone.

My lawyer answered, why there is no chance to bring them to court in bulgaria

companies like gobetgo.com if you can call that a company, form a complicated multijurisdictional structure that prevents clients from having simple access to justice, they form a Costa Rican company, get a license from Curacao and have operations in Bulgaria.

So courts are only competent to decide on matters that took place in their territory, I believe that their TOS mention that all disputes have to be resolved in the courts of Curacao, so a Bulgarian court will not be competent.

    Regards,

Its because they are outside the EU. They may operate from Bulgaria, but from the legal side of things the company is costa rican.

If it went to court in Bulgaria, and you won then gobetgo will just ignore it. Its not like the EU can impose any sanctions etc on them.

You could try civil action against the owner and not the company. But thats dependant on you or the courts finding him, and then again he will need to step back into the EU to be arrested/and fine levied

You're best taking a holiday to Costa Rica with a bat...

I remember a user called "GoBetGo" posting in bettingadvice forum and calling people to join their website - that made me AVOID this website because it's too amateur. Also I tested their customer service email and I was not impressed at all ... so luckily I haven't lost anything with this website ... it's horrifying to read what happened to so many others here.

On the ironic side of all things - this name "GoBetGo" screams fraud to me, and it reminds me this song anytime I hear its name (just replace the "bet" with "girls" for the song):

I just thought I withdraw from every Curacao licensed site as every one is potential fraudster, but Pinnacle seems to be one of them. "The company is fully licensed and regulated by the Government of the Netherlands Antilles (license number: 1668/JAZ), which requires the company to have the funds available to honour the winnings of its customers at all times.". Is it Curacao??

Seems pretty easy to have a license. Alrighty then, maybe I found a new book and run with your money.

i remember well a case where a closed local casino started to offer online live casino service and they were busted from police. so im not sure if you complain to police in bulgaria u might have some success, at least u can make trouble to them. if you got all the proof of their identity

I had roughly £212 in here when they went bust.

Could have been worse as there was nearly £800 in there before November. They paid out that withdrawal and there was one outstanding bet which won, leaving the balance above.

Have to say that I am not really too surprised at this, their verification process was weird, and they changed terms and conditions of offers mid way through. It's not the sign of a trustworthy book.

Netherlands Antilles was dissolved in 2010. Pinnacle has a licence from the Government of Curaçao, previously a part of Netherlands Antilles.

I'm thinking about bookmarkers and their security. Now that everybody is only worried about their money, I have to ask: Does anybody ever wonder what happens to their documents when some GObetGo or similiar is down? Are these documents handled and erased according to high security standards? Is George currently taking care of that?

There is a business opportunity for someone to offer a centralized verified ID for sportsbooks.

It is disturbing how much ID all we bettors need to hand out to so many places.

This is why I'm glad I quit betting 2 months ago. It's hard enough to win but then you see crap like this happen when people do actually win.

My *********** company gave me back my initial deposit of € 500.
So I'm losing "only" my winnings of € 915,50 and € 50 deposit bonus.

    I can live with that.
Lesson learned, time to move on.
