I think it's a good sign that Europeans do run bitcoin books

They sure know how to run them as far as betting options and software

Interesting. My Heritage BTC deposit experience went nothing like that. It was quite painful and everything that they told me was not followed through on and I had to wait over 15 hours in spite of the transfer going to them being confirmed in minutes.

I tried jetwin . Deposit was within 30 seconds. If you bet hockey they have alternate lines that I have not seen anywhere else ( including 5dimes) . They have totals that don't include powerplay, for those penalty filled games where you had the under. Overall if it wasn't for Georgia costing me a parlay , the book is excellent

Is it safe to withdraw bitcoin to Coinbase?? I read somewhere that they will block any account related to gambling transaction.

It would probably be fine but I would certainly add a degree of separation via a blockchain.info wallet just to be safe.

Nitrogen changes their withdrawal addresses to make it safe. You can change your deposit address up to 5 times a day at Nitrogen. To be safe I just use blockchain.info when dealing with books. Then I don't have to worry about changing addresses. After that I transfer from blockchain.info, or any other wallet, to Coinbase.

    Hey raiders...

Thanks for all your insight with these BTC books...could you give a brief explanation about the few steps you take? For example, what type of site/service is blockchain.info? Is it the same as coinbase? Just trying to understand each step. Thanks!

It takes a while to get the wallet set up but Nitrogen is an awesome book. So easy and seamless. You will enjoy it.

I saw that on yesterday there was a different Heritage complaint thread by a different poster and that one is gone too. Would love a moderator comment on why that SBR is taking this stance. Isn't this a forum in which posters can share their experiences...good or bad..about books?

There are some books (and online casinos, etc) that use just one wallet address, so it is obviously them. If you withdraw bitcoins from one of these books directly to your coinbase wallet, it is a red flag that you have withdrawn from a book and that you have used your coinbase wallet/account to send money to and receive from a sportsbook/casino. Therefore, it is always best to withdraw to another wallet first before sending to your coinbase wallet. If you're going to withdraw a lot, then i would send it around to different wallets and maybe even an aggregator/anonymizer before sending to coinbase.

So what happens if coinbase believes that funds are coming from a sportsbook? I assume they just don't accept them and it gets returned to the book's wallet address? Doesn't seem like such a big deal unless I'm missing something.

Blockchain.info provides a wallet service which does not require your name or identity. You cannot use blockchain.info to buy or sell bitcoins like you can at coinbase.

Can't speak for raiders but if I was American I would probably buy the coins at coinbase, then send the coins to a blockchain.info wallet. Then send the coins from my blockchain.info wallet to Nitrogen. I would then just do the reverse when it was time to withdraw and sell the coins at coinbase.

Very easy and quick to set up a blockchain.info wallet: https://blockchain.info/wallet/new

I do my transactions the way that Domestic does. Coinbase and blockchain.info are both wallets. As Domestic said the difference is that you can link your bank account right to Coinbase so that you can exchange bitcoins and cash.

    1. Link bank account to Coinbase.
    2. Buy bitcoins using Coinbase.
    3. Transfer bitcoins to blockchain.info
    4. Make all transactions between blockchain.info and the sportsbook.

Coinbase is located in the US and they do ask for personal information. If you want to avoid Coinbase and all other paper trails, you can go through localbitcoins.com.

    Buying Bitcoins (the newbie version)

This page aims to be the best resource for new users to understand how to buy Bitcoins. The existing Buying bitcoins page is too complex.
Read How To Buy Bitcoins With Your ***********, for information about buying Bitcoins with a ***********.
Warning: Please be careful with your money. When sending money to an exchange or seller you are trusting that the operator will not abscond with your funds and that the operator maintains secure systems that protect against theft -- internal or external. It is recommended that you obtain the real-world identity of the operator and ensure that sufficient recourse is available. Because Bitcoin services are not highly regulated a service can continue operating even when it is widely believed that it is insecure or dishonest and webpages recommending them (including these) may not be regularly updated. Exchanging or storing significant amounts of funds with third-parties is not recommended.
    Contents

    [hide]

    PayPal

You can't directly buy Bitcoins using PayPal, because it is risky for the seller, and therefore few sellers will offer this. There are basically 3 reasons for that:

    • The buyer of bitcoins can always perform a ********** and there is no way for the seller to contest that

    • There are many hacked accounts and when PayPal realizes that such an account has been fraudulently used, they will also perform a **********

    • PayPal doesn't like bitcoin, as the bitcoin network is in direct competition to it. They will ban accounts that have anything to do with Bitcoins, and freeze their balance.

Having said that there is a workaround that can be done in order to use Paypal to buy Bitcoins but it holds within it higher transaction fees. Using the Virtual World Exchange you can buy Second Life Lindens (SLL) with Paypal and then convert your SLL to Bitcoins. This process will charge you transaction fees of around 6% but will let you purchase Bitcoins pretty quickly as opposed to a wire transfer. The reason this method works is because you do not buy Bitcoins with Paypal directly, you only buy SLL with Paypal (which is acceptable by Paypal's TOS) and then exchange your SLL to Bitcoin.
Note: If you only want to take advantage of Bitcoin's price volatility You can trade CFDs on Bitcoin via Paypal on sites like AvaTrade or Plus500. When trading online your capital may be at risk. Trading CFDs is suitable for more experienced traders.
    ***********

VirWox - The Virtual World Exchange accepts all major ************ (via Paypal or Skrill) and allows you to buy SLL which you can then trade to Bitcoin. Using this method is faster then most options but has larger transaction fees involved.
CoinMama uses ** to allow you to purchase Bitcoins through your ***********. This service is not available in the US.
Brawker is a very easy and different way of buying bitcoins. People can buy bitcoins using Paypal or *********** on Brawker. With Brawker bitcoin buyers buy items at online merchants for people interested in paying with bitcoins. When they receive the items the bitcoin buyers receive the bitcoins that were held in escrow during each transaction.
    Bank Transfer

US Only!! Coinbase allows you to buy and sell bitcoin instantly by connecting any U.S. based bank account. You need an account number and routing number, which can be found on a check. Anonymity

There is a huge demand for buying Bitcoins off the grid due to ever-increasing government regulations and private agency intrusions and discrimination against alternative currencies. Due to the possibility of facial recognition cameras at banks and the paper trail involved with ************, there are very few options to have high levels of anonymity when buying Bitcoins those ways. DNA, Fingerprints, phone and internet records, audio and video records will not be discussed, but they all are possible tools which attackers could use to uncloak even the stealthiest Bitcoin buyer. There are a couple known ways, depending on your location, to buy Bitcoins outside of the standard banking system with relatively high anonymity. Buying locally with cash using a burner or payphone allows a high level of anonymity with the exchange being the weakest link. Many sellers online will also trade Bitcoins for MoneyPak codes or other cash-like gift codes which can be bought at a local store with cash. Another way to buy Bitcoins with a high level of anonymity is by sending cash in the mail.

They are fairly new and are going through a lot of growing pains. They do have the lowest margins in soccer.

Gobetgo has confiscated winnings from players, claiming bonus abuse. There are other claims of confiscation and it's unsure if the player was a cheat or the book was a cheat. In communication with players, Gobetgo is similar to Tony at 5Dimes.

Here is a recent post from Gobetgo showing that they are still working out the kinks.

We did an upgrade of our servers recently, which we hoped would fix the performance issue. Unfortunately it didn't. Therefore, our tech supplier decided to entirely change the frontend technology we are using to a new one, which will greatly optimize the performance. So they are pretty much rebuilding the whole website right now.

We will also release an automated API for betting, similar to pinnacle's.

Dear Raiders thanks for your post,
As an experienced player I have used hundreds of bookmakers. Being new is not a reason for exclusion at least at my own humble opinion. As the motto says ‘’noone was born experienced’’. I am using them the last five months and I am surprised from the product they offer, very low margins probably the lowest out there, fast payouts and modern approach to bookmaking. From my experience I can understand when a bookmaker is gonna offer my troubles and when not. I have played in hundreds of shops and generally speaking, there I am feeling safe, a feeling that doesn’t hold for other B-rated shops. There are of course problems with their site (sometimes I can say that you have to wait more for placing a bet than for getting paid your winnings!) but I do not regard it as a serious burden for the professional punter. Also I have to say that I have no sympathy for abusers and I would recommend other bookmakers to follow 5dimes and GBG’s example, and being harsh to them. If we require honesty from bookmakers we have to be honest as players too, right? Despite your parallelism of their customer service to 5dimes’ and Tony (I have plenty of experiences with him and okay he is bizarre but I appreciate his work and the level he raised his shop), 5dimes is still in the list while Gobetgo no, which means that this is not an argument for exclusion from the list. Also if their slow site justifies exclusion, then what one can commend for Cris group which brought suddenly off both e-wallets (Skrill and Neteller) and has kept them out for two months now, which means that some EU players’ funds are well trapped during all this period? Why don’t you simply start rating them so as to have countable complaints, and give them a good incentive for being right and fair to everyone? It will be good for all parties know that their shop has to give account somewhere and this is the right place, the best forum around with thousands of players It would be good for us players, to seed in their mind that if they will not be fair in the future, their reputation is going to be collapse in no-time by utilizing this forum’s power

Great post and thoughts. I hope the best for Gobetgo since their margins are to the benefit of us players. They cater to Soccer and the margins are higher in American markets.

My feeling is that many of the bitcoin books have gone under in the first year.

    BitBook
    Bit365
    Coinbet
    Bitcoinlivebets
    Blockbet

Some of them were considered top books at one time. I think that those rating books should take caution when rating newer books. When a high rated book goes under, it's a reflection upon the person/site that had them rated high.

This is a personal guideline that I use:

Maximum grade based upon time in business:

    A - 2 years
    B - 1 year
    C - 3 months
    D - 1 month
F - reserved for books that are scams, slow paying or stiffing players

playing with unkonw or new ones is playing with fire

Dear Raiders many thanks for your response, the point you raise is conceivable. My argument is that I wanted to commence a Gobetgo’s rating section. Although I remain silent most of the time, rest assured that I follow the site and the forum for many years. It is my source for knowledge when I am about opening up new relationships with a certain bookmaker. And in that particular case, it looked bizarre that a bookmaker that has made a vivid entrance in this industry during the last year, remains absent from the site’s lists. Especially when most of the bookies involved in the bitcoin list are far less popular than Gobetgo at least in my own view. Probably they may be more popular in the other side of the Atlantic, but here in Europe, I barely recognize any among the listed and trust me, I am pro player for several years.

Dear jjgold it is a matter of personal style and preferences. Every player has his own profile, and his distinctive pattern of play. I am playing in Gobetgo because they allow professional action, they are easily taking my 5-digit stakes and payout my winnings in no time. My last withdrawal took place two days ago, it was a high 5-digit sum which was processed in less than ten minutes. I believe that my action would not be affordable for most of the other shops in the list, I see several excited users with 5dimes which only accepts 200$ in major leagues from me! However since I haven’t used most of the shops listed, feel free to indicate if there is anything interested out there that I haven’t yet discover...New knowledge - new power

There are approximately 40 books, exchanges and agents accepting bitcoins. Bitbm, just stiffed a player 6 BTC.

They are also snooping in your account data for any memos sent with the transactions. If the memo even remotely suggests sportsbooks or fantasy football, your account will likely be suspended/deactivated. Same thing the same guys did at paypal back in the day. Advice: never do transaction with the same address twice, and never put anything in the memo field. Even the word "football" can get you booted.

nitrogen is a pinnacle for bitcoins, is there a bitcoin of 5dimes, ( i know they take it, but the whole process is very slow)
    thanks

We need a btc rating section where players grade the books. Another site did this & betcoinsports was very poorly rated by a lot of players but i haven't seen any issues mentioned here. Anyone who plays or will play with serious money at a btc book needs as much player feedback as possible. I'm a bigger player so I'm still a tad reluctant to plunge into btc books considering the dearth of info. We especially need to find out about the size of payouts. Anyone can run a ponzi and pay out 2k here and there...the question is which books are making consistently large payouts...or in this case many payouts equaling large sums...since I wouldn't think players would keep large balances in btc books for various reasons.

    thanks
Webetcoins clones 5Dimes lines but it's not recommended to play there. Lots of slow pays and most players left.

Betcoinsports is a very good book with reduced juice. Be careful of the polls at other sites. They are filled with shills/ghosts skewing the ratings.

Agreed, they will also just take like one or two pieces of feedback and slap a D rating or something on a book which is pointless. Someone then goes and reads that particular thread and just thinks, hmm it must be a D book. Some ratings with proper sample sizes could be a good database for SBR to start.
