    Rate Smarkets

    It's an exchange in the United Kingdom

    In my opinion very light volume

    I'm pretty sure it's fairly well regulated though

    Think a lot of the liquidity is market makers laying off on Betfair.

    Don't think it's a lot of use if you can also access Betfair.

    Pros -

    * 2% commission
    * Quick payouts

    Cons -

    * Poor liquidity
    * Prices dont auto update
    * will break every saturday just before the horse racing starts
    * awful awful inplay liquidity
    * Anything waiting to be matched will cancel at inplay
    * Limited football (soccer) markets. No first goal scorer etc

    The past 6 months I use it more than betfair for the major markets. Anything else and I have to go to betfair

    "$1900 British Pounds" ... what sort of weird currency is that?

    Are you referring to total matched on the market or money available on one line?
    If the latter, that's a reasonable amount in my book if the odds are competitive.

    There were probably millions traded on that game at Betfair. On the Nadal match tonight it was 1/2 m on Betfair prematch that rose to over 2m during the first set. At Smarkets volume was only a few K and didn't increase very much during in play. They have good offers, with odds being very similar to Betfair and sufficient depth but they are just not getting matched.

    Yes you hit the nail on the head..one tennis match at betfair gets more volume than smarkets does in 1 month

    Why does it matter to you? You don't even bet there at all. What with all these threads?

    I have been playing there since 2012, basically as a complement of Betfair, never had any problem. Their big problem is the poor liquidity, but they are definitely legit.

    And the software is intuitive and perfectly functional, i´m not sure what you´re talking about, jjgold.

    Way too many clicks to find a market

    It's not organize great and doesn't look sharp

    The liquidity has never grown

    Why are you concerned about liquidity when you bet $100 a game? Thats more than enough liquidity for someone like you.

    I don't know whats with most of these posts of yours. Seems like you just posting nonsense now and stuff that doesn't concern you.

    Also why make threads about sites that you can't play on?

    I monitor books across the world and everything I say is very very accurate

    Smarkets is a nickel and dime exchange

    There's only one real all around exchange in the world and it is betfair

    Matchbook is more of a pre-game exchange

    If you're betting top European league football, and UK horses then Smarkets is fine

    Anything else you need betfair

    Be interesting to see their liquidity for the breeders cup
