    Bitcoin by far the most erotic/volatile currency in the world

    That's where all the problems come into play as it is easy to have $40 swings in a day

    Most other currencies move fractions of pennies per day

    I would still go to the trouble of setting up a blockchain.info or other third party wallet even if you don't care about anonymity. The reason being that if Coinjar for example was to go under you are probably screwed as they don't let you see your private keys.

    If Blockchain.info got wiped off the face of the web you would still be able to access your bitcoins assuming you download a backup of the wallet/private key.

    Nothing "erotic" about it. And as I've told you before, if the book converts to fiat at time of deposit then you're not subjected to "volatile swings".     You can also have upswings of $40 or more. It's not as up and down everyday as you've made it appear though.

    To fix the problem, just cAsh out when you win. It's not very hard. And you would get the amount of the value when you cash out.

    Did I hear something about not using coinbase for sportsbooks? Like they were blocking it or something? Plus coinbase has all your info. I'm kind of new to btc and have sent a minimal amount from electrum wallet, but of course this generates a minimal fee

    As zola mentioned on page 1, there is an easy workaround. Just make a blockchain.info wallet, handle all your transactions there, and just use coinbase for buying and selling.

    If you want to preserve your anonymity for buying and selling, I think localbitcoins or mycelium's local exchange feature is your only hope.

    If you don't mind, how did you get the BTC you have?

    I was just fooling around trying to learn, I think coinbase gave me 5$ free BTC or something, and I have an electrum wallet, just trying to learn. I'm still new so if I send from coinbase to electrum to nitrogen it's all good? Or do I have to go to blockchain info

    Yep, this is fine. Electrum probably even better to use than blockchain.info in this situation as it uses multiple send and receive addresses.

    It is not easy to get swindled out of bitcoin. That's like saying don't have an online bank account because a scammer might convince you to electronically transfer money to him.

    The only valid point you've made in any thread is that there is volatility in the value of bitcoins, and that can be mitigated/eliminated by playing at 5Dimes or Heritage where they convert your BTC to USD. Then you never have to hold bitcoins for more than a few minutes. There are plenty of us, however, who are willing to accept the market risk of holding bitcoins. Much like Dell Computers, Overstock.com and many other retailers who accept bitcoins as payment for goods.

    Just stop with your agenda. Please.

    If you deposit into a book like Heritage with BitCoins

    can you still use a different method to withdrawal? so you don't get screwed if the amount of USD BitCoins are worth drops?
