Stanjames being prepared for imminent sale

It appears that Stanjames the Gibraltar based book is being prepared for sale. No info available yet to the name of potential buyers.

Another poster mentioned this a few weeks ago.

I wonder if it is a simple business decision or related to the new UK rules.

We'll see if we can get official comment on this and who the potential buyer(s) are.

Stan James has mainly UK customers therefore they probably don't want to go through all those licensing procedures as it is not worth it

Without UK customer Stan James will go down

I would think many Stan James account holders also have bet fair accounts?

Stan James is also a bricks and mortar shop bookie in the UK - but the companies are independent to a degree even though there is a commonality in ownership. The shops are concentrated in the south and midlands of England plus the north west which were acquired largely when Betfred had dispose of some shops on market dominance terms after the takeover of Totesport.
