Harry Findlay is a pro, but given his notoriety I'm sure he is allowed to bet into soft markets which us schmoes would get kicked from.

Plus I see he was betting on head to heads on the Dogs which would lead me to think he was on the sharper side even if that was the first I'd seen of him.

A lot of professionals have compulsive tendencies.

An interesting moment in this video is when it is claimed he is giving so much action so he can get set for bigger money on the plays he really likes.

I'm sure it was more effective back in the day but that still has validity, better to try and bleed a book rather than gut them quickly.

I don't know of any genuine professional punters who behave in the manner depicted in that video.

This is the ultimate consequence of his like:

    A few poker pros do.

I'm sure it's a bit of flash for the camera but he's obviously not a hard nosed pro grinding it out betting a quarter Kelly.

Goes without saying, if you go all in you're going to bust through your bankroll many times over. Even when he busts, I'm sure he has decent income as a celebrity punter and beard.

Video was just entertainment but those characters are great, no one wants to watch some nit grinding it out.

Maybe he had an edge with his approach... Who knows? But from the looks of it he seemed more like a lucky gambler rather than a professional.

Never heard of a professional going all in on a bet on a cup final with his whole life depending on that bet. Bookmakers probably loved and/or financed this video.

I think this guy still gambles but he's not a pro because he Bets horses that was the dead giveaway

He probably has a very small bankroll also

More gambling icon in the UK than a pro

I would think he doesn't have 25,000 pounds to his name

This was twenty years ago, he went on to become a millionaire and part owned Denman who won over a million pounds on the track, before his subsequent bankruptcy of course.

You couldn't be more wrong about wagering on horses though, Zeljko has done alright.

Was not impressed with his book. It comes across as one long humble brag except for some of the speed figure calculations he described (which are outdated now). He's unlikeable, unrelateable and doesn't even offer any crumbs about profitablly gambling to make up for the personality issues.

    couldn't care less about US
you didn't qualify your dumb statement
Betfair's useful but the real profits are to be made by getting on at early fixed odds with a bookie - if you can find one to take your bet!
So please go tell them all that we can't bet on racing. I'm sure they'll listen to you and reopen our accounts.

Harry hasn't learned his lesson. https://twitter.com/HarryFindlayPro. He's still calling himself a "professional punter" More like problem gambler extraordinaire. He's back having bets like £120k at 1/12 and a "small play" of £45k at 2/9. Something tells me the insolvency service are going to have another case very soon.

He seems like an interesting character.

Queer tagline to have on your twitter profile though! "Prompt payer of bills and debts."

I shared your enthusiasm but man, what a let down this was.

And on top of that, they even folded running a generic book.

£10k/£70k PSG tonight. Football man insists they should be 14 on. This is a tweet from him on 8/21. What does "they should be 14 on" mean?

It means the bet has been placed at 1/7 but his "football man" thinks it should be 1/14, so they therefore think they are getting "value". Anybody betting at them prices invariably goes broke very quickly.

It seems that from the most recent tweets today, it wasn't actually Harry Findlay after all and it was somebody pretending to be him. Very convincing though.

When odds are less than even money in fractionals, it's called "Odds On"

So a -200 fave would be $1.50 decimal and in fractions either 1/2 or, 2/1 odds on, or 2s on

    They didn't "fold".
They had their Norfolk Island licence revoked.
And because their owner had had an involvement with Citibet, no other Australian regulator would take them on.
