What is going on with Rooney?

Man U's continue problem up front seems way obvious. Against Newcastle they have tons of chances, but failing to put the ball in the net. Just a matter of time or what's up with Rooney?

I hope it's just a matter of time but, the way that first half ended, I can see a draw. Im on ManU for small.

Was called off early in the game and scored when he was clearly on. Would have been a different game.

He is better off playing behind the lone striker.

Needs some support up front. Amazed they haven't bought a striker yet, must be one on the way before the transfer window closes.

Overall though I think Rooney is past his peak. Will still score goals and be a useful player, but his best days are behind him now.

Easy to forget Rooney is about to turn 30 and made his debut at 16. That's a long time to be playing at a high level.

Should have had a goal last match when wrongfully called for offside. Still a good #10 but doesn't have speed to play lone up top
