    Tennis Data

Do anyone has a source for individual match data like this below, without something that opens into a pop-up ( Can't Scrape with Excel)

    http://www.atpworldtour.com/en/tourn...13/match-stats

Github is an online storage site, normally where people save code. These are CSV files containing tennis data.

Click on Clone or Download->Download Zip

and it will download all the files in a zip file. Create a folder called "Tennis Data" or something similar, and extract the files to that folder.

Thanks for the reply. So are things already on this site to look at as far as stats or something or is it like you said, to create one's own?

It is raw data. It is organized Like:

    Win Nadal
    Loser Federer

    Winner Serves 40
    Winner 1st serves 20
    Winner 2nd serves 20
    Aces 5
    Winner 1st Serve wins 15

    ect.

So you would take the raw data and calculate your own stats from that. Takes a while, depend on your sophistication with excel, also have to filter data, many missing stats like ranks here and there, some rows are empty.

I found a problem called Oncourt. It has the same type of data. I think its like 50$ for a year, which isn't that bad.

I can't remember how much tennis insight costs. I pretty much just re-buy the subscription every time I log on and see I'm expired. I think it's something like $60 a year total.

Have to check it out. I'm a little gun shy on tennis after the beating I took during the spring in Tennis.

There's a lot of tennis data out there.

My two-cents...Tennis is one of the toughest sports to cap. Almost un-beatable, imho. I say that b/c of the Individual nature of the game.

Certain players are nursing injuries. Only a few people know about it and the true extent of it. Also, players sometimes use an event as a tuneup.

What looks like value to ME is often fool's gold. Just doesn't make any sense to me.

I've read that places. That tennis is pretty hard to beat, because of the amount of money bet and sophistication.
