In addition to giving you guys the 2nd best picks on the forum (funnyb is #1 right now, and it isn't close) I have decided to teach you things I have become good at over the years. This will include volleyball lessons, guitar lessons, vocal lessons, sales lessons, and lessons on talking to girls.
The first is the floater serve in volleyball. As taught by the best player of all time Karch Karily in his book "Beach Volleyball" (1999) you want to see the ball as a clock to pick where you will strike the ball. Where as the jump serve (which I will teach you later) is a superior offensive weapon, if you are going to be playing outdoor tournaments those will run their toll on your legs over the course of the 10-14 games you can be playing in a tournament, you want to pick your spots and save your legs. This brings us to the floater serve, which can be surprisingly dangerous, especially outdoors. Sometimes you will run into an opponent that has trouble judging it, then you give it to him/her over and over again. You can also use the skyball for this, which I will teach you later, but that's a tougher one to keep accurate - especially in high winds.
