Steelers at Bengals - Wild Card

Marvin Lewis must be shitting himself thinking of another 1-and-done playoffs

Dalton probably won't be ready. for Pitt, DeAngelo Williams went out with an ankle today and didn't return.

I wanna say Pitt all day only thing giving me pause is how underwhelming they've been past 2 weeks and status of Williams. On flipside I want no part of essentially a rookie in 1st playoff gm and not excited about a iffy red rocket either who's been on shelf for a while. Hmmm

i'm pissed they have to play one another already. i wanted to see them somehow play in the AFC Championship but then Bell and Dalton got hurt.

Dalton now saying he's 'optimistic' about next week, but we'll see.

Pitt played like garbage today. If they played a legit team, they would have lost by 2 touchdowns. I'd be careful on any team coached by Tomlin.

Even going for 2 points up 23-12 made no sense late in that game today.

If you were trying to cover 12.5 points it made a lot of sense.

Macarran is looking better and better each game. I don't think the Steelers winning is a lock, but I would prefer them in the 2nd round verses the Chiefs since I think Manning can carve that defense up.

by getting it, Cleveland had to score 2 TD's to beat them rather than one (including a 2-pt conversion) and a FG

as an exbengal season ticket holder; I feel a lot more comfortable with a.j. than dalton. A.j. at least knows how to win and he has a stronger arm. That is why they front loaded the red beebee gun contract. If a.j. gets the start and wins the game than the beebee is gone!

I would avoid betting this game until you know Dalton will play or not, Pit is not playing well and if Dalton plays, you figure they will lose, but if he is out, more like a 50-50, 55-45 game.

Um yeh but the defenses are not going against each other. I dont think Bengals D vs Steelers offense is a mismatch.

steelers cough up the ball too much, namely interceptions which Bengals excell at, they should be able to get after Big Ben and rank very high at sacks and accepting interceptions, there is also a big discrepancy in passing td's allowed by each defense. I like what I see in AJ and he has green.

If the offenses are close I just looking at the teams like vanilla and playing the better defense

I hear a lot of Steelers fans saying this is just like the year of Super Bowl XL; Steelers as a 6-seed coming into the playoffs to meet the Bengals on the road in the Wild Card. Nothing could be further from the truth. That 2005 Steelers team won their last 4 games in the regular season and boasted a dominating defense and their passing game came out of nowhere in the playoffs. This team is going into the playoffs having lost to Baltimore's 2nd-3rd stringers and given a game by Cleveland they could've lost if it wasn't for 2 fumbles late in the game that basically gave them 11 points.

I'm a Steelers fan also, but I have a bad feeling this will be Cinci's 1st playoff win since '91 and it will be convincing.

People making way too big of a deal about their supposed bad game yesterday. Outgained Cleveland 379-263. Made mistakes, but also forced 4 turnovers. It was a solid road win and they were clearly the better team. Compare that to last week, when Cleveland traveled to KC and badly outgained the Chiefs, coming up just short in the closing seconds. Then Chiefs play another close one with the Raiders this week. Patriots lose to a Dolphin team that quit long ago, Denver played a much closer game with SDC. Steelers no less impressive than any of these teams, at least in week 17.

I agree frosty - MaCarran has been doing a decent job. Will be interesting to see if the line moves through the important -3 number up to -3,5 for Pitt. If it stays down at -2 or -2.5 for Pitt, I'd be leaning Cincy on this one on the M/L.

Mccarron has played in 2 national championship games.. the stage won't be too big. Cinci better at every position aside from QB and maybe WR and they are at home. Steelers getting way too much love. Mccarron is the real deal.

    Coaching---------------->STEELERS
Marvin @ to go 0-7 although I wont root against him
    Roethle can read defenses (key)
    Roethle has antonio brown
    Roethle has a fukkin cannon
Steelers have MIT type shit going on come playoff time in the coaching room
no hurry to bet against the steelers with a newbie qb and bengals TERRIBLE playoff track record
