Can we give Trout at least 25 AB's before labeling him anytthing.

Dave Winfield was a choke artist, so bad Steinbrenner called him Mr. May

I need to look it up, but I don't even think Winfield hit .200 in the post season.

    Best ever post season pitcher?
Mo. The discussion ends with Mo.
Arizona beat Mo with a hump back soft single, and a play not made by Brosius that Mo seems to think he should have made.
I have seen Mo's entire career, I saw him in year one as a spot starter, I saw him when he was 8th inning set up dude for Wetteland, who only saved all four games (I think he's the only one to do that) and was the MVP, and I saw Mo take over for Wetteland and become the greatest ever at what he did, and the only time I have ever seen Mo remotely pissed was after the Brosisus play.

Mariano Rivera's post season numbers are staggering, unfathonable, mind numbing.
And he did it with one pitch, the hitter knew what pitch was coming every time, every pitch, and he did it for 2 decades.
That's a hell of a pitch I tell ya what.

speaking of greatest ever, was mariano the best reliever? he did blow the save and get the loss in the 9th inning of game 7 of the world series. not sure how you can be called the greatest when you lose the world series in that situation. imo i dont care how many saves you got that negates a ton

Yea whatever. Best year of his career and he's still not better than Kershaw.

Who's to say he would be some clutch playoff performer?

Oh right I forgot... you're from Seattle. It all makes sense now.

Kershaw winning the cy young and mvp is a total joke. Guy is October's Mister Choke.

    What question?
He blew that game all by himeself?
That's an idiot question, I am usually not in the practice in answering idiot questions, but this time I'll field this one.
Soriano bothced the double play ball on the bunt, so I guess he didn't blow it all by himself, and don't tell me Mo got charged the error, yeah, if Soriano does what he is supposed to do, 2 outs nobody on.

Did you pass fifth grade english?
Do you know the definition of 'greatest'?

Until you can name me a reliever better in the post season at what they did better than what Mariano did, we'll consider this debate closed.
    And since you can not......

    /end discussion

    just amazing

kershaw rolling in both starts, has a multi-run lead in Games 1 and 4 in the 7th...

    and then implodes each time

    October 3: 6 IP, 2 hits, 2 runs, 0 walks, 8 Ks
    October 7: 6 IP, 1 hit, 0 runs, 2 walks, 9 Ks

    so 12 innings, 3 hits, 17 Ks

    pretty awesome line

unfortunately for him, the 7th inning counts, and he winds up with a 7.82 ERA for the series.

Another runner on 2nd and kershaw gets hammered... Maybe there is something to this theory.

Either Stl is stealing signs or Kershaw cant pitch out of the stretch.

He was never even close to being the best pitcher in baseball.

But he is the biggest choker in baseball history, that's true.
