Aaron Rogers Afraid To Play?? Some players might think so

Playoffs on the line and he is is milking an injury.

    Any tough qb plays Sunday

He better play or players in locker room start thinking he is a pussy.

    Rogers does not like contact

The decision is not in his hands. The docs are taking scans and the decision is based on that.

if he doesn't play he is a total loser to abandon his team

it's not the doctors decision completely

jason witten was willing to sign a medical waiver to play before if he wasn't cleared...heart of a winner

It doesn't seem like the injury is fully healed yet. Packers aren't winning anything this year anyhow, might as well let him heal up properly so he will be ready for next season.

right, they were just talking about this on NFL Net. GB has no D and has no shot of a deep run in the playoffs. Get healthy, take the rest of the season off, miss the playoffs and get the pick.

Dunno how many of you have broken a collarbone....

But if it isn't fully healed, having 330 lb men try and tackle you isn't on the treatment list.

If there's any fracture remaining at all, chances of him making it through two games and the playoffs are slim to none. So if he isn't cleared to play, he ain't stepping on the field.

It's a get in the playoffs league. Any playoff team can make a run. It's happened before. It's only afterward we think it was destiny. If GB makes the playoffs they will host at least one game.

Yes. If Shea McClellin can break it imagine if a real lineman fell on it.

In 2010, when Green Bay won the super bowl they were the 6 seed and played every game on the road to get there…..Super Bowl XLV Champs……any given sunday..however the Seahawks in Seattle seems like about the end of the road for any team.

I doubt Rodgers is scared to play, or scared of contact. he's a professional athlete. He was getting reckless before his injury, running into contact, not sliding for whatever fking reason and look what happened……..injured.

I do think its a medical thing but then again he will be rusty. In Flynn we trust id put my money behind him anyway hell if you don't remember last year he was signing big time contract for a starting spot...

If Rodgers doesn't play its not because McCarthy or Rodgers had a say so, he's a franchise athlete with the program for the long haul he cant undercut a medical staff for maybe one more game..

Plus if Cobbs back and our defense is getting healthy Flynn could practically close his eyes and let it rip and it will find a target.

If Packers win this week I will be making the trip from ATL to Solider Field for the game...

exactly...that's why people who claim a underdog playoff team has no shot are morons

if you are in the playoffs, you have a legitimate shot to win the superbowl

Yes, but if he's injured he's injured. Now if they're in the Super Bowl, maybe you just take the chance anyway. But not now.

It's not a matter of him being ineffective, he would be effective. It's a matter of him taking a big hit and getting cracked in half.

If Rodgers can come back, they make the playoffs.

They would be the 3 seed, they would cruise past their first rd matchup, and could easily go to NO or Carolina and win.

Cobb is coming back, Nelson Cobb jones and lacy.. Good luck limiting them.

Then they would have to beat a Sea in Sea. For all you morons who forgot Gb beat them last year on the "Hail Mary" an the refs blatantly missed the fukking call, they are the only team to "beat them in Seattle".

Gb is the only team with a legit shot to challenge Sea.

Gb could win the NFC if he comes back healthy. Just hope he gets the medical clearance.

Cause that worked so fukkin well for the bears a few weeks ago. If they didn't rush cutler back, they would've beat the lions handily and would only need to win 1 more game to secure a playoff spot.

Flynn rollin after the comeback W, if Rodgers isn't 90% + and medically cleared... No way the organization lets him take the field.

    Ya darker.

Unlike you, Rodgers can't take 12 shots and a couple percs before he goes to work to numb the pain.

I disagree. Cutler had a lower body injury that limited his mobility. Rodgers may be 100% and he may be in no pain. The problem is that if the break isn't fully healed then he will get cracked in half if he takes a hit. Now if he played scared to take a hit I guess that would limit his effectiveness, but as far as throwing, he may well be fine and that's where it's frustrating for him. But medically, he just can't take a hit, and in the NFL that's really inevitable.

My sense is that he won't play this week, but if they're still in the hunt weekend, then yeah, probably he will. Imagine if McClellin took him out again.

Back in high school our QB broke his collarbone during Week 1 senior year. He never returned the rest of the year. Every time he walked he said he felt vibrations... like an ache feeling. We only played 8 weeks regular season then playoffs back then...

I think Rodgers has the heart to play... he takes one good shot on that shoulder... he's done. Lights out. I think he has the courage to play... I think there are also lawsuits against Green Bay if you allow him to play and he injures the same area. Possible waiver forms Rodgers could sign to allow him to play... but he isn't that dumb. I see him playing Week 17 (must win situation). Or... Round 1 Playoffs (if they are in.) It's still to early to let him play. Broken collarbone isn't the easiest area to heal quickly.

You really are dumb. Seattle won that game 14-12. Green Bay lost on the final play, effectively known as "the Fail Mary". You calling everyone morons is laughable with your misconstrued facts.

Could possibly be a 4 seed...but yea they are a team nobody is going to want to see in the playoffs. Not even Seattle. Assuming the Saints lay another egg on the road this week, we're looking at SF being the 5 seed and NO being the 6. Seahawks get the 9'ers in the 2nd round then either the Panthers or Discount double-check after a hard hitting 2nd round game in the NFC Title. They're still the favorites but that's by far the Seahawks toughest possible road at this point.
