    Vegas Under 21

I'm going to Vegas as part of a trip the last week of July and was wondering if there was any way that I could place bets that I could mail back to collect. I know that I can't do it myself, but was wondering if there were any ways around that to place futures bets

almost all tickets can be mailed it....just have someone over 21 make your bets....you have to be of legal age to place a bet/cash a ticket....Remember your betting your friend...and he is laying off the action without you knowing it

I know that's what I'd have to do but I'm not going with anyone over 21 who would do it(group of 8 with 1 chaperone)

There are some betting kiosks that you could make a bet.
there use to be one at o'sheas and there is one at Lake Las Vegas.
Just insert money and use touch screen and it prints out ticket.
    Not sure where else.
I think silverton and ellis island each had one, but not sure if they
    were account wagering or cash.
    Palms had one also

Thanks. I did some research and that should work. My only question would be what is the level of security like around those locations? For example I noticed that they have them in Hooters and Buffalo Wild Wings out there. Are there people around it that monitor it or is it just kind of there for anyone to use?

I looked into it and found that the kiosks won't work because you have to sign up for it at customer service, which I obviously won't be able to do. I was hoping that it would just print tickets like at the windows but they just work with an account.

    Any other ideas?

OK, fake ID's will not work as they ask for your SS# when you sign up for the kiosk or any of the online content.

Can you pass as 21 year old? No cashier will ask for ID, unless you are betting 10K+. You dont have to send in ID to receive paymetn by mail. Just send winning ticket by Secured Mail, and everything will be fine.

I had to show ID just about every where I went both trips to Vegas this year.

Even if I was just standing next to a table while my friend played people walked up and asked for ID. I'm 29 years old too...

All of this Vegas talk is making me want to go back already.

I could probably pass for 21, but questionably. I'm 6'7 but can't really grow much facial hair. My other concern is what happens if I get caught? Will I just be told no? Will security be called? I don't want to get into any kind of trouble being out there on my own.

My other concern is that I'm going out the week of the Super 64 and Fab 48 so a lot of underage people will be there for basketball. Do you think that would cause increased crackdowns?

You're not going to get into huge trouble if you aren't gambling or drinking.

When I was in college back in the day, a group of us went and a few in the group were 20. Those guys took shots in the room and carried alcohol out in the open while walking down the strip.

The only time they will ID you is if you're gambling or standing at a table where someone is gambling such as a blackjack table.

If you're going with people you know, just give them money to place bets with. Other than that, if you're not stupid, you'll be fine. If you're just walking down the street drinking, no one will stop you. Casinos are strict because they don't want to get fined or have issues with the gaming commission.

Even with that said, if you're just walking through the casino, you'll still probably be fine. Like I said, just be smart about it. There are a ton of people in Vegas and I have never been ID'd walking down the strip, only when I was gambling at tables.

Be careful with a fake ID. They're good at spotting them.

I would give it to people I'm going with but I'm only going with 1 person of age and I doubt that they would do it.

My question is if there is any way I would be able to do it myself?

No. I wouldn't even try it.

Also, every time I go, I have these thoughts that I'm going to stay in the sportsbook area, watch games, and get free drinks but I never do that. I usually end up putting all of my tickets in my wallet and go do other stuff. Then I get hammered lose track of time, and remember to check the score like an hour after the game is over.

There is so much to do in Vegas.

You will not get caught. Just dont make a bet for 10K. More importatntly dont approach the ticket coubnter like a super nervous wreck. The transaction should take about 20 seconds. Tell the cashier what the rotation # of the bet, and how much you are betting. Check you ticket for accuracy, then walk away.

ok some like at bw3's are account based.
Some others like the one at Lake Las Vegas or the one that was at Osheas
was you put money in and get ticket out.
I use the one at Lake Las Vegas almost every day. I live like 50 yards from
their sportsbook. They have one windows which is almost never open unless you need it to be
for placing large bets or football season. Right next to it is a Kiosk that takes money or your winning tickets.
And you use touch screen to place bets and it prints you out a ticket.
I also used the one at Osheas, but it is closed/ remodeling. I heard there is one at the palms on the other side
of the casino not near the sportsbook but havent seen it and dont know if its account or cash.
