Question On MP3 To CD Recording On PC

I use to have Limewire and I think I downloaded an older version of Roxio. It worked perfectly. When I recorded music to a CD it sounded amazing! For some reason... the CD Burner Audio crap software that came with my laptop leaves like a "popping" noise every so often on few songs to the CD. The MP3 has no errors. So it has to be the software to the CD causing this???

I was wondering if anyone has a free trial audio software that they recommend? Either from Cnet.com or other places. What would be causing this bad MP3 to CD transmission? It sucks.

MP3 by it's very nature is horrible quality. FLAC lossless is a step up.

I use NERO burning software. There's an option to normalize the audio which eliminates the spikes in volume.

If you're hearing "pops"- most likely a low bitrate rip of the song.

Thanks for the post! Maybe I did use an older version of Nero years back? I had to erase my hard drive... and lost a lot of the programs I once had. I wonder if I could find a trail version for 30 days??? Thanks Muldoon!
