    Find a verified merchandise agent living in the country you want to import from.
    Make sure He/She is from you're country and living abroad. Tell them what you want to buy overseas and more than likely they will know of better deals and reputiable factories. If they are not familiar with the company you want to do business with they will go to that factory meet with the people you've spoke with. The broker you hired will get all business liscenses check I.D. etc.
    Day of shipment, have broker go to business check that the shipment is getting placed on a shipping container and have them take a picture of the merchandise with a newspaper of the present days date. Also, check credentials of broker before all of this. Once shipment is on container, release the payment.
    At one time alibaba was full of scam artist. Be careful.
