Hello Everyone! So I have a current goal to reach 100k as soon as possible thru playing poker and sports betting. This thread will be used to track my daily grind and give details on how it goes. You'll get an inside look into the daily grind poker player and sports bettor. I'm a bit small time right now, but soon enough I'll be big time. I'll be giving out points in this thread for different reasons. I might list my goals for the week/month, and if I don't hit them I'll give out a certain number of points to posters here. Also, if you are a regular poster in this thread I'll definitely be giving out points to you for sure. Also, please post how your weekly/daily grind is going as well. This will just be a casual thread where we can all track our progress and give each other tips. Post poker hands and bets.

Poker

I'm supposed to be joining a staking group when I get back to the Europe. If it goes ahead I'll be staked at 25NL. I have yet to receive the contract, but from what I've heard and expect, we split profit 50-50 and all losses are taken by the staker. I am only required to play 30k hands a month with them, so I will also play some of my own poker on the side as well and try to grind my own BR.

Any games I like will be posted. Sometimes I post late as I try to get the best number before the game and I'm also a busy person. If you tail I'm sorry about that, but if people do tail me let me know you do and I'll make the effort to at least post what games I will definitely take.

All home teams have won + covered so far this playoffs as long as Steelers hold on. Giants also have the much better defense and have a decent run game with Perkins emerging. Giants should be able to throw on this Packers team, while the Packers should have trouble offensively.

Purdue -2 2u

Who have played tougher teams better? Purdue should have beaten Villanova, then they lose away to Louisville by 6 and then they beat Notre Dame. Wisco lost bad to UNC and Creighton and then they beat an overrated Indiana team. I think these are two evenly matched teams, but this game is at Purdue and it is going to be hard for Wisco to beat 2 conference rival top 25 teams back to back.

Giants-Packers Under 46.5 2u

Very cold game here and I expect there to be more running of the ball. Both teams should not be able to run that effectively and I expect a very slow game here.

Grizz just came back and beat the Warriors in OT. Slight letdown spot here. Series is 1-1 this year between both teams, but Hill was out for both of those games and will play tonight. Parsons might be out for the Grizz as well here.

Also sweep, I don't know if you saw in the thread where I have my loan agreement with Fidel, but thanks again for the points towards that loan as well! I'll definitely get you guys back once my loan is paid off and I'm killing it on the felt!

So at the moment I'm really debating whether or not I should get involved with the staking stable I've been in contact with. I have yet to contact them since I've returned and I probably will have to soon enough. Basically the agreement is that I play 25NL on Natural8 poker which is supposed to be a fishy site filled with asian fish. The issue I have with it is that there is no HUD or speed poker, and also because I'll have to give them half of my profits. So let's say I win at 8bb/100 at 25NL playing 500 hands an hour is around $10/2 which gives me $5 hourly. Currently I'm making about $5 hourly on my own playing fast poker which is much more entertaining. The plan would be to save up at the moment playing what I am right now and then take a shot at 25NL once I have at least $250. What would you guys do?

Well previous thread you had job and poker was side income but you keep on cashing out. I dont know is pretty easy to play low stakes if you are winning player just dont cash out for month or two and you are settled forever playing with your own money. So decision is simple play with your own money dont cash out until you have br you can. Or be staked for month and if you run good 100 hours half profits if you wont cashout you should have br to play for yourself.

I hear you slik, very true. Imagine the BR I could have if I didn't spend my roll. The only benefit of the staking program is that I can't lose money, but if I'm a winning player then there's really no point to get staked unless I'm severely under rolled. I think i'll keep using my own funds for now and just build up until I can shot take 25NL. I'll layout a goal/plan for this month and try to hit it. The plan will be to play 25NL by the end of the month.

Fukk the 3rd party stable....you can do this on your own. The whole time you are playing your mentality is going to be screwed up. This is completely different than say someone just buying a piece of you in a tournament.

Well or loan from family 300€ i mean if you are winning 2bb/100+rakeback and you plan to play 100hours you pay back within month. Plus will give you additional motivation to really play 100h at least. Just dont cashout unless you really have to or reached decent limit.

Baller- What sportsbooks can you buy cash from here with points? ....and can you transfer that cash right to poker room if the book has one?

For instance Bookmaker, can you buy bookmaker cash in the sbr store then use it for poker?

Maybe we can get up a points staking stable for you to grind the micros

slik- yea I could do that, but my current BR is fine for 10nl and the 20nl games can definitely get swingy so I'd honestly rather use my own profits or use a staking stable in case I hit a downswing. It definitely would give me motivation though. I think I'll use my own funds for now, but if I keep taking money from my roll I may have to take a loan then.

So is simple just dont cashout your poker bankroll unless there is no other option for at least month or two. I personally play micros forever i just dont have balls to play higher limits which is sad really but true lol.

So #1 team is getting 5.5 points against #10 team. Line is set at this number for a reason. Jeff Sagarin has West Virginia as having the best home court advantage in the country and winning this game by 9. Kenpom has WV ranked at #2 in the country and Baylor #7. This is Baylor's first true road game and it should be tough on them.

Florida -5.5

Florida ranked #14 by Kenpom and Alabama at #71. Florida handled Arkansas away who are ranked at #43. Florida lost last year to Alabama and I expect them to win tonight and hopefully cover.

Jazz +2.5

Jazz are 12-7 at home vs Cavs 10-5 away record. Jazz play in a high altitude environment and Cavs are missing players. Line is inflated due to public perception.

Lakers +2.5

Lakers have won 3 of last 4 games. Are 10-10 at home vs Blazers 6-15 away. Blazers are playing 3 games in 4 nights and should not be giving points here.

Patriots vs Texans

#1 raked team vs #16 ranked team. Brock could barely move that ball around against the Raiders, and now he's going up against one of the best defenses in the NFL at their home. Patriots are going to stack the box and make him throw. Texans lost 27-0 against a Bradyless team earlier this year and Brock had a 29.1 QBR rating. People can say all they want to about the Texans D, but the Patriots D is on par especially at home. Also, the Raiders only had 3 less 1st downs than the Texans last week with Cook at QB. Also, imagine the field position the Patriots are going to have all game long.

I want to play 20nl fast poker, but 888 only have 30nl fast poker. To shot take that I’ll need a $350 BR. I have a 10+bb/100 win rate at the moment so I expect I should be a winning player on this network when I move up. I’m probably one more week away from moving up too. I think I’ll play some regular 20nl later today though and see how that goes.

Well guys today I decided to get a little frisky. I got paid for the remainder of the month from my part time job which gave about $1500 in total, although I still have to take out rent/living expenses/etc. Anyway, I decided to go take a shot at some 20NL reg tables. After 45 minutes I made $36 and I then decided to move and play some 30NL Fast poker tables. After 5 hours I made $18 with a 6bb/100 winrate. So I guess the leap up has been made at least for the time being...
