Yup...poker ain't what it used to be, but it's still worthy of being aired. They should have bumped it back to mid November though...after November 8th, there will be a huge entertainment void to fill. Slap a bad wig on the players and start having them rave like lunatics and they should be able to pull most of the audience who's been watching the election shit show

Some of the videos from WSOP 2016 Main Event now surfacing. Huge hand where Kassouf bluffs 96(o), bets huge and gets woman (Matuson) to lay down QQ. I see 3 errors in this hand:

Look at the board texture. It WASN'T a sopping-wet board. The hands that beat QQ are (strange) 2pair, set, or very unusual straight. I think u just have to pay off on those hands.

    1) I don't know how the woman (Matuson) lays down Queens there. Tournament life or not, u have to call. Kassouff's huge overbet should set off alarm-bells. He's betting to get u to lay down. (Fwiw, did land a huge Straight-Flush w/ 96(hearts) a little earlier. That could have been on the woman's mind).

    2) See note above, Kassouff is a dick. He wins the prize.

    3) What's w/ grandpa calling the clock when she is deciding on her tournament life? Relax, give her a minute. U have to wait...b4 even thinking about calling the clock.

Let's get beyond Kassouff being a dick. That's a given:

    * Is Kassouff giving anything away? Betting 490 into 630 is a big bet. If u have a huge made hand, u want to get paid off.
    * His hands signals, after being given warning. Begging for a fold...isn't that a sign of WEAKNESS?

NChad makes a great comment. Calling for clock after Kassouff has been goading her? Relax and let the hand play out.

Look again at the board. No flush got there:
    * He bets a set/straight huge there.
    * 2pair (especially if they're small)? Not sure he bets so big there.

A few more thoughts on the Kassouff hand(s):

    * A little earlier, Matuson laid down AQ on an Ace-hi board. If u watch that video, it was a totally reasonable lay-down. Board was super-wet, w/ 3 hearts and a made straight. A LOT of hands beat her, and she didn't hold a Heart in her hand. So, no blocker and and no flush re-draw.

So much different than the QQ hand (posted above), which was a very dry board (Ten-hi). There are a few things, re: Kassouff. This guy is undoubtedly a dick. But there's a difference btw:
    1) Being a dick, and
    2) Impacted the play.

On the QQ hand, I really think he impacted the play by never shutting (the fuq) up. The time Matuson had to ponder was consumed by Kassouff's dick-fest. BTW, Kassouff is on video tanking frequently at EPT events. Selbst commented that her table w/ Kassouff barely got in any hands (per hour), b/c he was always being a dick.

On the QQ hand, think about the hands that could beat her and why they might be unlikely:

    1) A set. Disguised hand, so much so that u pretty much have to pay-off if someone catches.
    2) 2 pair. Could be (like 32 or 35), but you'll normally find out about it early. Small 2-pair hands are vulnerable to the board pairing and thereby counterfeiting your hand and turning it into rubble.
    3) So, what straights got there?
    * A4. He would have had to hit it clean on the flop.
    * 46. Would have gotten there on the turn.

That's it! No other straight got there. There just aren't that many hands that got home.

I 100% believe Matuson that she just didn't have enuf time to contemplate and act appropriately. The dagger is Grandpa (a total bystander) sticking his nose in and calling clock.
