I will be there next week playing in 5 or so events and I will also play the main event again this year.

Everyone should play the main event. Most pros think that the main event is the easiest to cash because you have a lot of amateurs who show up to only play that event each year! You get a lot of guys who satellite in from other casinos who have never played an event that goes as slow as the main event

Nobody else taking a shot at the Colossus?

I'm still contemplating playing 2E or F on Saturday if enough players show up this week, or stick to cash and grind up to hopefully get in the 1500 and 3k HORSE with their money. This weekend should be hot!

To each their own but this hasn't been the case for years. Sure there's a lot of fish but the average skill is way up and it's pretty laughable to say its the easiest to cash in the whole series when you have to do way better than the bubble to even double your money.

Sharpangles, ask anyone and they will agree that are worse players in the 10k event than in the standard 3k event. And even in the 3k event, it takes a lot further than the bubble to get to 6k cash as well.

Each payout % is about the same. Usually the first cash is 1.4 times your buyin and it stays at that level for a long time.

USCPHILLY, you don't know shit and you will never play in an event that is for sure. Stay the penetrate away troll

Little Blazer #2 due June 14. Maybe in a year or two I'll dust off the poker skills and play...

Honestly right now, I'd rather play in the NFBC Main Event. Life takes strange forks

glad to see some peeps gonna play. sorry philly i didnt see any other threads when i started this one. yeah im playin 4pm tomorrow last flight. i knew they had dropped the levels to 30 min this year in an effort to speed things up and get into the money by the end of the first day, but shit, you got antes kickin in on level 3 (after the 1st hour) i didnt even think of how the dynamic would change in the earlier flights tho, usually they would have a mix of 1 and dones who would play pretty tight/straightforward and the rest who were gonna fire multiple bullets so they would play quite a bit faster in order to bust or build a big stack, but since you can conceivably cash 6 times in 1 event, as soon as the money bubble bursts, everyone is goin full retard again since they already locked a profit and basically freeroll themselves to a big stack or a re entry into a later flight. kinda disappointed in the numbers so far, after the first 3 flights, only roughly 9k entrants, with only 3 flights left they will be lucky to hit last years mark, even maxing out the last 2 flights. bout to head up now for some PLO, games should be rockin. in case anybody doesnt know, there are no chip runners this year, so bring a few higher denomination chips with you when you sit down so you dont have to go stand in line again if you need to rebuy or topup. GL to all who are gonna play, hope everyone make a FT this year

GL today RC I was just told they're expecting over 1000 players each flight and the crowd is already growing so I think it'll go over

Looking like a smaller field overall than last year and the structure sheet not too great so decided I'm going to invest the 600 on Copa America bets instead.

The winner of the Colossus last year plays in my local poker game in Houston. Well I shouldn't say my game as it is actually a small casino with over 3,000 members, but they have tournaments and everything.

What is even crazier is that the 3rd place guy also plays at the same place
