How about we find an alternative way to settle, a tiebreaker? (this would be applied only to the two (three?) teams that score the highest of the group)

To be fair, I'll let you choose of the following two:
a) team with the most 1st place finishes wins (so 1st +3rd would beat 2nd+2nd)
or
b) team that makes the latest score of the day wins (if both score in the same tournament, obviously tiebreaker goes to the team who places first in that, the last of relevant tournaments of the day)

A) is more conventional (I remember the times when soccer used to award only 2 points for a win, but they switched to 3 points a decade ago)

B) is completely unbiased (and thus fair) because we still have half the tournaments to be played

Again, I just want to gamble. Feel free to check the completed tournaments but I'm sure you have better things to do The fact you get to choose the tiebreaker should show I am being straightforward here.

my suggestion for a tiebreaker was 3rd place finish to count as half point, but it cannot apply in this case. this is a dead heat , exactly the same placings, so it should be refunded. sort of like in soccer, where they have a "draw no bet".

grivas in the future if you offer these kind of bets, in order to avoid ties, either make one side a half pt favorite or offer it as a "draw no bet".

If bet pushes on Wednesday, we'd wait until Thursday and see how same guys perform, and if it's tied after that... probably just make total team points (placement in the WC final standings) as an extra - though most likely unnecessary - tiebreaker.

this is wrong. a push or draw no bet would be for a two way market
as discussed, this was a 4 way market

no one would refund bets made on the two losing options, which is why dead heat rules were created
