well the last make up tournament the guy who placed first already played in a "monday tournament" and nothing was done about it. thats 600 points...... so what makes you think sbr cares anyway.

Not to make excuses but I made an honest mistake when I played in the March 12th makeup tournament.

My 1st place finish on Monday March 7th (the day of the crash) was not updated in the standings by midweek, the last time I checked. I don't check the forums daily. On Saturday March 12th I saw the makeup tournament in the poker client and thought I was one of those allowed to play because my 1st place finish on Monday did not get updated. It wasn't until after the makeup tounament when I checked the standings the following week that I realized my standings had been updated on Thursday, 3 days after the Monday win. I play with chat shut off so if anyone said anything during the game, well...

I played in the Saturday March 12 makeup tourney, and I believe I finished 10th. I also played in the Monday tournament (not the one that crashed) and finished 1st in that one.

I agree my 10th place finish in the makeup tourney should be deleted. SBR can even deduct the 600 finish and leave the 50 pts. which might seem fair to some, or even disqualify me.

But I was not intentionally cheating. I kept quiet after I realized I should not have been in the makeup tourney because, well it was only 50 points and I really don't care about getting to the top of the leaderboard, I just enjoy the daily tourneys and winning a few poker points for fun. So I kept quiet up until now but obviously it's not fair to others and it's a big deal to some.

I apologize to all of the other players and to SBR for the trouble this has caused.

I 100% believe your explanation here and it's not your fault SBR didn't update the standings in a timely fashion; your thought process makes perfect sense (as explained) and when there are tourneys that go technically screwy w/makeups involved... things can get confusing -- especially when someone doesn't check in everyday, understandable.

However, when someone knows damn well they weren't given a password to a tourney, but then proceeds to willfully 'crack' the password to enter a tourney they know damn well they don't belong in, with the express purpose to gain an unfair advantage over other competitors in a contest coming to a close... well, that's distinctly different from your situation (and easy to discern).

I'd love to just ask a simple question in the daily thread and get a resolution, but anyone who has been here for more than a month knows that won't happen.

So many posters have great ideas for contests, but we get the same rehashed ones every year. I'm sure the World Championship thing will be next, and if not next then following what comes up for this summer.

a couple comments then I'm done .....funny Opti wants to throw a little jab my way but doesn't even mention the piece of shit who cheated.....the guy cheated, plain and simple....he should be banned from poker here, yes. What a punishment to not be able to play in a promo that unless he does something he hasn't done all year (WIN A FUKIN TOURNEY) he wouldn't have made it anyway.

Look, i visit SBR frequently, have met some great guys here (mpash, tripd, sbrman23, iwinyoumoney, booya, jakepeavy - sure I'm forgetting a few) and for the most part, enjoy my time here. I think i give some value to the friendly banter that occurs here. When I see someone who for not the 1st time do something that isn't within the rules that are in place, yes it pisses me off. When your only recourse is to bitch, bitch, and bitch some more before something gets done, that just adds to the frustration. As I've said in the past, if I used those principles in my profession, Id be out of a job.
