I was playing Poker underground for fun after a night out and this drunk high roller was bragging how he cheats the 5/10 game in fallsview casino (niagara falls, ontario) using some contact lenses and some invisible ink under his nails. He said he simply marks the aces and queens. Some other player didn't believe him and told him that they would catch him when he wins a lot with unbelievable calls/folds and he said that he loses some winning hands on purpose just to make look everything is ok. He said that he goes there few days just to lose a buy in or two and go home then he would play 1 or 2 big cashout day to make the lossess and more. He said he has done in casinos in vegas and around canada. Half way through the conversation he realized he is penetrating it up drunk and played it out as a joke but i think he actually cheats because this guy is has money and has no work. He is too stupid to make a living from playing legit poker.


I am not a big poker player but i do go to fallsview once in a while when i am in the area and i never cashed out in my maybe 15 trips. I am a decent player but not great but now i am starting to think if i am playing among other cheaters too. How do casinos deal with these type of cheating?

They'd need a camera with the same type of filter in the contact lens to watch for the marks or to look for the ink on player fingers. I guess.

i usually do the same thing, ie, marking cards at casinos, tho my "marking" is always unintentional and usually the result of a combination of 1. bad casino food at the buffet, 2. a return from the men's room, and 3. my bad wiping habits.........

why some people at the isle of capri, Lauberge, and the Golden Nugget in Lake Charles refer to their poker rooms as real "shitholes"

This is def a thing in Europe so it's bound to have made its way over here to the states. Someone mentioned filters on cameras and thats exactly what the large casinos there use. Know a couple guys who were at EPT Prauge last year who reported dealers wearing contact lenses in the bigger cash games there to prevent the ink as well.

This years WSOP had allegations in the 10k heads up as well...

iF you heard of this it wouldn't be going on. But i emailed fallsview casino what i heard and waiting for their response.


i play 5-10 because that is usually that table that opens up first. almost everytime i went it was friday or saturday night and there is waiting list, i add my name to all the tables and 75% of the time 5-10 table opens up first.

i just google "casino poker cheating contact lens" and there are so many incidents, mostly in europe. un real. so we not only have to play against the house (rake/session fee) but also against cheating scums. good thing i am just an occasional rec player.

Some of the worst players in the galaxy are the old farmers that play in gretna, fl. I don't get to go there much anymore, but it was driving to the atm if you caught them drinking

At Commerce Casino just outside of Los Angeles they caught two college kids doing this. They were wearing sunglasses that looked custom made and were caught with special ink in their pocket. They were arrested and banned for life of course.

This happened last summer when I was last there.

i read about this chinese made clear contact that can detect a clear liquid that cannot be caught with regular infa red or florecent lenses (most cameras are equipped with this these days). according to what i read, two people team up and do it...the guy who wears the contact never comes in contact with the liquid....his partner on the other table will have very little liquid on the tip of his one of his nail and he would mark certain cards. he won't carry the ink with them...it will be a third person in the casino (not at the poker table) and they can make trips to the bathroom to dip the nail tip and wash it off with another trip to the bathroom once the cards are marked. they woudl repeat this every 30mins to 1 hour when the cards are changed. apparently thats how 3 italians who robbed millions of euros across europe in various casinos. but they didnt just stop at the live poker...they got greedy and did it in black jack and stud poker against the house and thats when they got caught.

Read my above post. The 3 italians made a lot across live poker cheating with contacts but they got caught soon after they moved to black jack and other table games against the house. all casino games except live poker are -ev and you cannot win in the long run. If you win consistently big amounts for more than a few hours or back to back days, all eyes would be on you because you cannot beat casino games in the long run playing fair simply because of the odds.
